I remember you telling me you ordered it, about a month ago. Contact the buyer?
Do you have the 2003 remastered editions?
Because my copy of Fragile didn't rip on my PC, I had to use someone else's computer and transfer it over.
Best thing to do with Yes albums is to record the vinyl version.
I must do this.

Yup, they're the 2003 remasters. I guess they have something against computers, then.
And the Sea Shanties doesn't bug me that much because I haven't actually paid for it yet, I just ordered it to the store.
Man, I'd love to get a record player and some LPs and all that. They're just so big and shiny and have awesome artwork :3:. I recall my mum having some old LPs so they must've had a record player at some point, but I guess they sold it ages ago (damn you :argh:!). Do you have lots of vinyls, Akayz?
Yes. Visit the vinyl thread more often :3:
Comeon guys, come to the stream already!

Your avatar just reminded me that I have yet to watch my DVD of the live stage production of War of the Worlds. I should do so

Indeed you should.
Does anyone know of Pulsar? They're a french band from the 70's that I just discovered by doing a project on them. Really awesome laid back symphonic prog.

Mellotrons, mellotrons everywhere.
Ok I am on a prog rock CD search. I need to get into more of this music because all I have been listening to is Rush (have all their albums don't ask me how), King Crimson's 60's-70's on youtube (their albums are freaking expensive on ebay), A couple of links from this thread of various bands, and some Yes. I know there are much more bands out there, and I am finally getting my first job soon so I will be able to buy all the albums I want.
Any bands you guys can recommend me?

Genesis, Jethro Tull, Most Steven Wilson stuff, Pulsar, Pink Floyd
From Jethro Tull, get either Aqualung, Thick as a Brick or a Passion Play
Steven Wilson, get either Porcupine Tree stuff, or one of his solo albums
Pulsar no idea
Pink Floyd, get DSOTM to start
Fuck you all! My hard drive is running out of space because of this awesome stuff you found for me!

Get Deadwing and In Absentia from PT to start off, I'd also recommend Steve's solo stuff like Insurgentes.
For Pulsar get The Strands of the Future or Halloween.
I would argue that Fear of a Blank Planet should be on the list also, plus Insurgentes is his only solo album but I'm fucked if I'm not buying the new ones coming up

FOABP is a fantastic album, but I don't think it's quite as good as Deadwing.
Well there are a couple of other releases by him, but they're mostly ambient/experimental. And there's also the cover versions series.

No but it signifies a much heavier direction that's much closer to what he's aiming to towards now
Bass Communion is good, especially Ghosts on Magnetic Tape. But Blackfield takes the cake for me with their new album, it was just fantastic
Considering making a SW thread, he's certainly released enough stuff
How could you guys forget Stupid Dream
Stupid Dream is amazing

Having that on LP. :psyboom:

As is Lightbulb Sun, and The Incident, and Signify, and The Sky Moves Sideways, and every single album they've put out ever

I never forgot it, its probably the best after in absentia and deadwing :smug:
Lightbulb Sun was a hit and a miss for me though. Compared to the rest of PT stuff it was average, but it was still fantastic in its own right
edit - apart from Russia on Ice, that was the best track ever
Listened to new King Crimson ProjeKct album. Was nice.
[editline]1st June 2011[/editline]
I'll give you a song off it hold on.

Porcupine Tree hold the honour of being the only band with more than one song that makes me tear up. In fact, they have about seven. Russia on Ice is one of them.

Scarcity of miracles?
its mine .
I tend not to tear up at PT songs mostly, but I used to get emotional about Collapse the light into earth, Feel so low, vapour trail lullaby or Sentimental
oh fuck, forgot about Half Light

For me it's Russia on Ice, Collapse the Light, .3 (Those strings!), Half-Light, Glass Arm Shattering, I Drive The Hearse and Trains.
I tend to get emotional when I listen to music...
Nothing wrong with getting emotional while listening to music. No point listening if you don't feel.

Can't believe I forgot .3, I get chills when the heavy guitar comes in at the end

That's why I listen to it. Nothing makes me feel more intensely than a piece of music really.
And I just realised I missed out Mellotron Scratch. Love that song.
