WOAH...... fucking hell that's nothing like I expected. You sure that's real?
Yup. posted on their official facebook, it's on metal hammer and everything :v:
Vinyl is a must have for me, I'm sorry. :smug:
It'll look amazing on vinyl. I can just tell.
Who designed it?
Travis Smith. He's done almost all of Opeth's covers. Done loads and loads of metal band covers. Did Ziltoid :buddy:
I never forgot it, its probably the best after in absentia and deadwing :smug:
Lightbulb Sun was a hit and a miss for me though. Compared to the rest of PT stuff it was average, but it was still fantastic in its own right
edit - apart from Russia on Ice, that was the best track ever
Lightbbulb Sun was quite a transitional album for them, it was between them releasing the more ambient "new Pink Floyd" stuff they became famous for and the "progressive pop rock/metal" they went onto with In Absentia onwards. It's a good album, just more of a curveball than the rest I guess
For me it's Russia on Ice, Collapse the Light, .3 (Those strings!), Half-Light, Glass Arm Shattering, I Drive The Hearse and Trains.
I tend to get emotional when I listen to music...
Heartattack in a Layby ;-;

Orchid, Still Life, Blackwater Park.
Any Prog Folk Metal?
I just found High Tide on youtube by chance, and I shit myself. How did these guys go under the fucking radar? 1969? This shit is way more "heavy" than anything zeppelin at the time it seems to me. This band needs more recognition, I always hear about Led, Black Sabbath (which is still fucking awesome), etc. Never have I heard of High Tide. Maybe it's just me never hearing of them before, but to me needs to be up there with popularity.

Also just found out my aunt was a huge King Crimson fan in 1969, she has been to several shows in VT when they first came to USA. Also went to some of their shows in their early 70's lineup. She just gave me 4 of their albums on Vinyl, but I don't have a Vinyl player and I am honestly not sure if I want one.

This is so ridiculously prog that it's funny. Love how they're both taking the piss out of the genre and paying homage to it at the same time
Tonight I plan to listen to all of the prog recommendations that I was given in the suggest me some music thread.
Including:
Rush- Moving Pictures, Grace under Pressure, A Farewell to Kings, All The World's a Stage, Fly By Night, Caress of Steal, 2112, and Mercury.
Emerson Lake and Palmer- Brain Salad Surgery
So basically a Rush fest.

I'd suggest to first listen to Moving Pictures, then 2112 and then A Farewell To Kings. Those are in my opinion the most awesome albums.

I want some more King Crimson, but I can't find any, I'm mainly looking for it on vinyl just to keep the collection together, but then again I've never seen any of their albums on CD.
