I did that about a year ago in the "MS PAINT album art" in Fast Threads (Back when it was a good section)
Wrote a review of Fly From Here for a blog I contribute to: http://court-in-the-act.blogspot.com/2011/07/review-yes-fly-from-here-2011.html Any tips on how to improve my style?
So I just subscribed to a mailing list and got a free MP3 from Grace for Drowning. It features Steve Hackett on guitar! @kittthehacker go subscribe to the kscope mailing list
Every time I try it tells me the server is busy :saddowns:
This track sounds so much like Lark's Tongue-era Crimson to me, its ridiculous. its also fucking cool. Really great track
This track sounds so much like Lark's Tongue-era Crimson to me, its ridiculous.
Part 1 or Part 2?
Part 1 or Part 2?
Lark's Tongue era, not a specific part, although track 2 from the first disc's preview sounds similar to part 2 Maybe part 1? Might sound more like IV or III but I haven't listened to them yet
Oh yeah, forgot about 3 and 4. The ThraK album kind of reminds me of Porcupine Tree funnily enough.
Thrak was a pretty spectacular return to form imo
I'm listening through Remainder The Black Dog now. It's pretty amazing.

that's on the insurgentes dvd, its brilliant
I never realised how much Steve looks like a serial killer until I watched that part of the movie. He really is a scary looking man.
dang... Phil Collins knows how to drum to Jazz Fusion.
you just forget how good Phil Collins used to be at drumming.
you just forget how good Phil Collins used to be at drumming.
I'm listening to his seperate band "Brand X", people should check it out. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline]
Also, listening to the new Yes album So good so far
It's good, not their most creative but still enjoyable.
I'm still hoping for the new Yes album to grow on me. None of the songs sound bad, just none of them stick out so far.
I'm still hoping for the new Yes album to grow on me. None of the songs sound bad, just none of them stick out so far.
I like it when they used the "heavy" sounding synths, although I like the ambience I preferred "explosive Yes".

Soft machine are an interesting band. meaning that in a way that I'm not sure I like them.
Oh yeah. They should use this song in Whale Wars.
For all you non-Floyd thread regulars, I'll be streaming Pink Floyd's "Live at Pompeii" tonight at 6:30pm GMT. It'd be awesome if we can have more viewers, so turn up if you like Floyd! www.livestream.com/channelocto
Even if you don't, you should still drop by. I did the same for the Daft Punk stream and enjoyed it alot.
I would, but I'm seeing the new Harry Potter film tonight. Also Dream Theater last night was kickass. Endless Sacrifice and Fatal Tragedy were amazing, and Mangini certainly proved himself with his drum solo.
Stream's started. www.livestream.com/channelocto
Just picked up Metanoia by Porcupine Tree (a CD of free form improvisations from the Signify era), No World For Tomorrow by Coheed and Cambria and the Yes Live in Montreaux DVD for 30 dollars. I also got Neverender on DVD for 10 bucks last week. Fuck yeah
