Uh yeah, his diary isn't very interesting
I don't think he does though, he has posted pictures of a bed before
Also those samples are interesting, dont know what to make of that

Not too bad, although it'd sound a lot better with the context of the full song. At least the release date is not far away.
really? I wholeheartedly disagree.
okay, cool?
Anyone ever heard Victims by Gizmo? I have to admit it's not amazing, but it's interesting for the synth work alone - it was released in 1981, so it's sort of new-wavey neoprog

Reviews for TAAB2 are coming in. Looks like it's gonna be good.
Yeah, I never expected it to be like Thick as a Brick at all. In fact the only reason I hear it bears any musical similarity at all is because Steve said to Ian that if he didn't at least have the same kind of musical palette it would be a flop of a sequel.
It looks like this might be something worth listening to though.
Enochian Theory are putting out a new album tomorrow.

Sounds really good.
I've also been getting into Dredg alot, really great band. Not sure if they classify as full prog rock, but they've definitely got elements of it.

the only albums by them i consider prog by more modernized standards would be their first two... catch without arms albeit as my favorite is just an accessible alternative rock piece which is also at the same time one of the most amazing concept albums ever created
if you're a fan of concept albums please read into their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th albums because they're 3 of my 7 or so 5/5 albums

I love El Cielo. Fantastic album.
Saw them live last week at Soundwave. Absolutely phenomenal live band.

I am 99.9% jealous.
the live version of 20 hour sleep is absolutely amazing (the version off of Live At The Fillmore)
I really like the one in Veneno Para Las Hadas, his voice pretty much becomes an instrument
Does it in one of the other insurgentes songs too but I cant think of any uses of it in PT. One thing I have noticed is that he uses that telephone vocal effect a LOT.
Also how cute:

Final Destination V in 3d apparently
Haha I always got the sense that he was as weird as he wanted people to believe he is, well he is pretty eccentric but seeing stuff like that makes him seem nicer and more human.

Am I the only one who hates the sound of the electric guitar on these samples? Sounds really cheesy, other then that it sounds good.
Welp, lizard 40th anniversary cd and storm corrosion cd ordered online

Not sure if right thread but

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG
I can't get enough Yes.
I've been raping Close to the Edge like a madman, and Fragile is pretty much driving me insane.

Also, I'm going to Jethro Tull this June in Iceland!

That's a pretty small hole...
I took a listen to Noctourniquet. It's quite good, TMV still manages to retain their hard hitting sound, all while reducing their experimental and complex style a bit, making it a little more accessible compared to their previous albums.
not very much more accessible than octahedron imo
still fantastic either way
Hmm. Not sure if I should pre-order Thick as a Brick 2 or not. There's still the possibility of it being quite shit.

I'm not really looking forward to it, but will acknowledge its existence.
there's a live stream of it coming now, so give it a listen before deciding maybe
Also I got the 40th anniversary edition of Lizard by King Crimson and I can tell you the album in 5.1 is some of the best music I've ever heard, you really need to give it 5.1 to appreciate it because there's so much going on that you can't hear in the original mix or even in stereo
TAAB2 is just okay. I wouldn't pre-order it to be honest, not unless you like collecting. But the biggest problem with the album is the sound of the guitar and keyboard/synth. They sound like they came straight from a karaoke recording and have no emotion to them at all. Overall, there are some nice parts. Mainly the acoustic/folky ones. A decent effort from a man of Ian's age. Also, if what I'm seeing right now is the actual cover art for the album, Jesus Christ it's a terrible album cover.
Oh yeah, and there's quite a few good hooks.

That's the only reason I would want to hear this.
Even if I'm not going to yet.
This is also a potential album cover, much better.
