HE'S A FUCKING TERRORIST. BRING HIM TO GUANTANAMO BAY. [editline]1[/editline]
Luckily, the year was 1999. It wasn't yet the era of "OH GOD TERRORISTS AND SCHOOL SHOOTERS WILL KILL US ALL".
America's worst high school shooting incident occurred in 1999.
THINK OF THE CHILDREN, WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?
I wonder what they will do when confronted with this [img_thumb]http://www.popularmechanics.com/cm/popularmechanics/images/d6/nerf-guns-9-470-0409.jpg[/img_thumb]
Cordon off the school!! What are his demands?
if it was like a really realistic looking one i'd understand XD but thats just stupid as fuck
Superintendent Gerald Fournier tells The Republican of Springfield that the school took appropriate action "based on the policies and procedures we have in place."
Note to legislators: A red flag should be thrown up in your head that the "policies and procedures" you have in place are fucking retarded in instances such as these.
Such is life in the USA. I can't decide whether this is laughable or really sad.
THIS IS A MAJOR THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY! /caps
That's why we should hate kids!
This has happened before. A kindergarten student was expelled and everything because he made a gun out of paper and was playing cops and robbers or cowboys and indians in school. It happens. I understand why they do it, is it stupid? Yeah, we shouldn't have to worry about these things in our society. However, I believe they do it to make a point. If they let it slide then someone else will get my risky and bring a pellet gun and try to defend it isn't a real gun and it could get progressively worse I suppose. I am not agreeing with it so don't attack me for explaining their reasoning.
"gimme yer lunch money or i shoot barbie"
When I was in the 7th grade I got suspended and appointed to a mental health counselor... for drawing a couple weapons and some internal firearm mechanics on paper. Even they thought it was absurd, and commented that the school has sent an excessive number of students there over inane bullshit. I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been some form of protests against schoolboards regarding this kind of nonsense by now.
American hypocrisy knows no bounds. We have this dumb "zero tolerance policy" across our nation while at the same time are called communists for stepping anywhere near second amendment legislation. On one hand we're denouncing guns as tools of murder and on the other we uphold gun ownership with godlike status to the point that it's an American icon.
One of my classmates brought an airsoft pistol to school once when we were on 5th grade. He ended up accidentally shooting one of my friends near the eye. The punishment he got? Gun confiscated and a call to the parents.
While the punishment is a bit overzealous, I can see some people are confused about what exactly the gun was. Let me tell you, this: Is just a little more intimidating than this: I agree it's ridiculous, but don't think he was carrying a nerf gun, he was holding a plastic gun made to look like a real one, with only an orange tip to identify it.
Reminds me of when I was 4 I brought a toy gun to kindergarten
Back as a young child, age 5, in kindergarten, I left a toy gun, didn't even look much like a gun, in my jacket pocket. Pulled it out on the bus, and took a look at it, was like "Oops, forgot this was in there." Two girls on the bus snitched on me. Luckily, the year was 1999. It wasn't yet the era of "OH GOD TERRORISTS AND SCHOOL SHOOTERS WILL KILL US ALL". Ended up with a 3 day out of school suspension. I was a kindergartener with a fake as hell toy gun(It was silver, with red dots, it was a laser gun, designed to be held by a small toy robot.), yet I got 3 days out of school for a toy gun. Utterly nonsensical.
Hey! we're in the same graduating class! On topic, I going to e-mail the motherfucking VA legistlators to get this shit changed in my state
Funny thing is, if a 20 year old brought a toy pistol onto a bus nothing would happen xD.
Funny thing is, if a 20 year old brought a toy pistol onto a bus nothing would happen xD.
:frog:
shoots soft plastic projectiles? so, he brought an airsoft gun onto a school bus. what is the problem here.
It's probably a NERF gun, or those old space disc shooters, I doubt it was Airsoft.
American hypocrisy knows no bounds. On one hand we're denouncing guns as tools of murder and on the other we uphold gun ownership with godlike status to the point that it's an American icon.
There is a bit of context to it though... There shouldn't be guns in schools... If guns or allowed other places, one place you don't want them is in a building full of kids. I see what point you are trying to make, but this isn't really the right place to make it.
Ofuck I better not bring a real gun to school this zero torrence policy has scared me off D:
It's probably a NERF gun, or those old space disc shooters, I doubt it was Airsoft.
It was mostly an airsoft gun, if it were a NERF gun they would have said FOAM projectiles not plastic. Airsoft is the one that fits in this case. My issue is the whole super-intendant or whoever said it that they took appropriate action based on their rules and shit set up. Right, yeah... if it were a big deal. You have to know when to use those rules. This happened not too long ago when a baby had the same name as someone on the do not fly list.... CLEARLY the baby wasn't a terrorist, he just shared the name. Yet they still wouldn't let him on the plane. Based on their rules and regulations, they did the right thing... They didn't let someone on the do not fly list on the plane. However... IT WAS A FUCKING BABY. Anyone looking at those rules and laws and what not would say, Okay this clearly isn't a super terrorist baby, let him on the plane.

Those look real and can actually do some real damage. Its still rediculious, but they can be dangerous.
This reminds me, When I was about 6, My mate took a few small airsoft pistol's into our kindergarten. The teachers amazingly did not give a damn. We played war all day long.
I don't want to live in this country anymore There's no empathy for anybody or anything
This kind of shit is getting out of hand.
Every time I hear one of these absolutely ridiculous stories it dims my view of the US just a little bit more.
As if this couldn't ever happen anywhere else.
The toy is still considered a weapon because it “fires,”
so is my dick a weapon then?
This is why zero tolerance never works. Things need to be judged on a case by case basis.
so is my dick a weapon then?
"Sir, we're gonna have to confiscate that..."
