I just bought the game on Steam, and it's pretty beefy at 11 gigs for what looks to be a relatively simple game. I mean, I know it's on UE4 but still, that's a bit excessive in size for a game about cartoon army men. It's fine for other games of a larger scale (and I have the space so it's not a concern for me personally), but that's just a general heads up for people who might have been expecting a smaller game in download size.
A 2015 remake of Army Men: Toys In Space or any of 3DO's other army men games would be fucking great.
I don't know if you can get more than 10 players, and I can't seem to connect to a single game yet without disconnecting.
Yeah, I'm getting that too. The devs said they are aware and working on a patch, but it's still pretty lame.
There's definitely less content. But the asking price is more reasonable than $60. I do hope people start setting up larger servers though. 5 v. 5 is ok, but I'd like to see 20 v. 20 or something at the least when I feel like playing in a clusterfuck.
Saw Lirik broadcast this game when it launched. The servers bugged out and managed to get 25v25 players for most of the maps. About as much of a clusterfuck as you can imagine, which looked very fun, but it made it difficult to actually progress in the objectives. :v: And the TDM and FFA maps lasted for only a few minutes. The respawn times were quick, though, so that definitely was a factor. It would be great to see custom servers with a high amount of players for the action, but still have it so it would be possible to win the game without the timer running out.
Anyone remember this? Back when Windows 98 was the shit and mouses had little balls in them? That was a good game.

That was a good game.
I have Army Men I, Army Men II, Toys in Space, Air Tactics, Air Attack(Bad PC Port), Sarge's Heroes(Bad PC Port) 1, World War(PS1 and PC), and World War: Air Sea Land. Also(regrettably) got Major Malfunction...horrible decision and too bad that was the last major game of the franchise. I also once had Army Men 3D, Sarge's Heroes II(Disk Broke), World War: Team Assault, and Sarge's War along with Army Men: Advanced. Also rented World War: Final Front, Air Attack II, Green Rogue, and Army Men: RTS a few times. But yeah I wish somebody would release updated versions of them or maybe get GoG to put them up on their store. Also according to what I've read the most recent owner of the main IP was bought out by 2K Games, who probably still owns it although they most likely have no intention of using it, in fact I'm probably betting that the copyright for it has probably expired. Also FYI, the guy who found 3DO(And most likely be blamed for it's downfall) is Trip Hawkins who is better known for founding everybody's most beloved video game publisher, EA.
Looks pretty generic outside of the army men/rats gimmick.

Before then, EA made good games.
I went ahead and bought it. I appreciate that the devs are good people and I think it would be fun to see what they come up with after listening to the community.
If the devs continue with their amazing patchig work, this game will have a long playtime ahead. Too bad it's released at the same time as PoE, BF4 latest dlc. Darn it, spent all my cash on them PoE mtx :P
