So, I never bought into this. My friend's decided to buy a ouija board and try it out. We tried four different locations, nothing happened at all. As soon as I left, it started working for them. I guess...I was the devil itself, that's why it wasn't working!
They obviously would be lying, if you said it worked without you around. Maybe it works by limited person, or the spirit is scared of you.
Oh sweet fuck, I knew somebody who used one and got freaked out, their parents found out and they burned it. Well, they said "it burned GREEN MAN, an EVIL GREEN FIRE came up from it I mean fuck Satan and shit man" and we happened to be in welding class at the time. There was a clipboard hanging off the welding table so I put the torch up to it and it lit up with a green flame. "Ohhh noooo! Evil green fire! This clipboard is the harbinger of the DARK LORD SATAN... you FUCKING moron. It's chemicals, dumbass." They're total bullshit.
Me and me best friends tried it once. It was kind of new to Russia, we were all excited and ready. We started. It was very silent in the room. Soon [sp]one of my friends farted out loud, nothing fucking happened after that[/sp].
Bought one a few years ago and did it with 4 friends. Sat on the ground and where ready to do this shit so we spelled "sup" Then nothing happened and we sat like for 10 minutes waiting for something but nothing.. So we gave the board to my dog and she had something nice to bite on :downs:
Why is it pronounced "Weejee" when it clearly is spelt to sound like "WeeJa"?
Why is it pronounced "Weejee" when it clearly is spelt to sound like "WeeJa"?
It's actually WeeYa. Ouija is a combination of the French "Yes" (Oui) and the German "Yes" (Ja). The "ja" is pronounced as 'ya' in English.
I remember somebody once saying that originally they were never supposed to be for talking to dead people. The original idea was that it freed your subconscious and it let out your deepest thoughts, but somewhere along the line the myth that it was spirits of the dead talking became a bigger selling point.
Everyone knows what a Ouija Board is. A piece of cardboard from Parker bros that helps you communicates with the dead by using your body as a medium to move a small pointer to letters. Pretty intense shit, lets take a look at these.
Why did this make me laugh?
oh fuck off ouija board
The actual responses are from the person using the board, it's just superstitious nonsense.
Why do the ones in the OP use as a font?

Ah, there it is:
Following its commercial introduction by businessman Elijah Bond on July 1, 1890, the Ouija board was regarded as a harmless parlor game unrelated to the occult until American Spiritualist Pearl Curran popularized its use as a divining tool during World War I.

"While Ouija believers feel the paranormal or supernatural is responsible for Ouija's action, it may be parsimoniously explained by unconscious movements of those controlling the pointer, a psychophysiological phenomenon known as the ideomotor effect."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouija So basically it was a game that supposedly tapped into your subconscious, then occultists got hold of it
Who knows, maybe the spirits are in a different dimension playing with the board, while we're in this dimension playing with the board. See what I did there?
ridiculous bullshit-peddling
If you ever get any messages referring to Gates or doors or anything opening. You have released either a Cyberdaemon or a Khornate Daemon into this realm. I've used them many times. It may seem ridiculous, but it's actually a lot of fun if you get something good. Who knows if it's real or the "spirits" are even there, but nonetheless it's really interesting and some of the outcomes are surprising. If you're interested in adventure or experimenting with that kind of stuff, I highly suggest it. I've "talked" to 2 small children, a Russian, and 3 former slaves before. It's fun.
I used to think it was pronounced "wee-ya" because I lived in Germany. :suicide:
An ouija bord ate my baby
I'm glad to see I've broken like 4 out of the 5 rules. I believe in ghosts, and the paranormal, but I'm really skeptical. I try and think with my head instead of thinking "lawlz OMG monsturr!!!" like just about everyone in the creepy stuff that's happened to you or your friends thread. I was fucking around with one with my friends once though. It was fucking creppy. We had what I'm pretty sure was my friends sister who died the summer before. It was like a week before Halloween and every Friday we had a weekly bonfire at my friend Kyles house. My buddy Matt said something to my buddy Kyle about ouija boards, and he brought it up to me and I said I had one and we devised a clever plan to put it to use at our bonfire. We all kind of knew who were going to try and contact, and we asked my friend if he was okay with it. He wasn't 100% onboard with the idea, but he was interested. We all huddled around this tiny coffie table in his living room and lit a few candles. From what I remember, it spelled out my friends sisters in initials, and birthdate. The next week, me and my buddy Will tried it a second time except this time it was Halloween. Again, we got what we think was my friends sister. It spelled out her initials and birthdate again. The really creppy part is, my buddy Will is the kind of guy that messes around and would push it, but hes also the kind of guy that doesn't like to do something if it feels stupid and he wouldn't normally do something like this, but this time around, he was dead serious and was really into asking questions and I sure as hell wasn't moving it. Trippy shit man
Even though it may be bullshit peddling, who's to say it wouldn't work differently if paranormal elements were present Not saying I believe in anything like that, since I don't have first-hand experience and have steered clear of Ouija boards, but I've heard enough stories from people who never usually lie and have no reason to do so to be wary of the whole thing. Of course you can rationalise it by dismissing the thought of Satan being in a piece if cardboard, but it makes you sound like a kid trying to reassure themselves.

He's a fucking idiot is what he is. I mean, who even thinks of going against someone named GOD and thinks they can come out on top? [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] Excluding Atheists of course, because then there isn't someone named God to go against.
I remember when I was in primary school my friend started crying when I was telling him about ouija boards, or 'luigi' boards as I used to call them
an oujia board raped my mother and killed my father
im brining my 2 best friends so we can talk to steve jobs
I've broken rule 3 and rule 4. When I broke rule 4, it was freaky, because the planchette started freaking out.

My friend used an oujia board that apparently mentioned my name. Now she refuses to talk to me.
