that guy pops up in recommended videos, frontpage of youtube all the time. it's so annoying. there is no way to make users like this to not show up.
This sounds like the 21st century equivalent of "I'm in the waste management business"
He venture funded himself a few million dollars so I wouldn't say that, no.
by the way he didn't get it for free!
my sister watches this nigga every day. every single day. i've tried to watch it with her but it's just so... bland. it's a rich dude showing off his toys. who cares? i admit that the production quality is very nice, but there's no actual content. nothing actually interesting. it feels like watching his videos is just a waste of time and makes me wonder why i'm not doing something more productive (which doesn't happen even when i'm watching fucking anime)
there's something funny to me about envisioning someone looking thru his sisters door at her watching these vlogs and thinking "I dont get this dumb, waste of time shit" and then going in to his room and watching anime [editline]24th September 2016[/editline] not even hating coz i do very little productive shit it just seems funny to me
Casey's eyes look extremely creepy to me, like he hasn't slept in 40 years.
Casey's eyes look extremely creepy to me, like he hasn't slept in 40 years.
IIRC He only sleeps like 4-6 hours a day, so that's probably why :v:
IIRC He only sleeps like 4-6 hours a day, so that's probably why :v:
I only tend to sleep for 4-5 hours a day and have done for years and my eyes don't look like his. I am only in my twenties though so maybe in 13 years when i'm 35 like Casey I too will have fucked up eyes.
it's interesting how well known Casey and how very not well known he is I was very reluctant with his content at first but damn haven't I stopped and watched several of his vlogs, he's one of the firsts who excelled at vlogging, and they are entertaining and well thought out, well cut and shot. oh and before anyone bugs out about him wearing glasses all the time: he wears them so he can watch the liveview display/mirror for the camera, he doesn't actually look into the lens. That enables him to use the composition of the image without breaking the intimacy by looking past the camera lens. Simple but smart, why not. That and he just likes wearing glasses for his style. [editline]24th September 2016[/editline] I'm sure most have seen this already but worth watching (altho I'm personally getting a bit tired of nerdwriters essays being a bit too copious in writing sometimes)
that was a really interesting video and made me appreciate the amount of work and effort Neistat puts into his shit. I used to watch his vids a lot but don't do it that much nowadays. I still really appreciate the beauty of the shots he captures. casey seems like a good lad regardless of content quality and people insulting him should realise that we shouldn't want more milo's and leafy's in public life

I didn't know the Casey hate was so strong on Facepunch. The dude just wants to entertain coupled with good daily production value. Even if it can become show-offy, it's just entertainment in some shape or form

21k I am quite dissapointed I have seen some videos where people get a whole dam room to you're self I'd be willing to pay at most 1K more for something like if it was a long flight ( I guess there called business class but steal )

My main problem is that his titles are clickbaity as fuck and it takes 10 minutes for him to actually show off what's in the title.
4 million subscribers Still uses cheap canon camera.

There's pretty much no other way to get an inside view without knowing the super rich in real life

If that was the case, I can see why he did that but for the most part I agree with you.
I've seen people saying he's good behind a camera. Are you joking? Nearly every damn clip was overexposed with blinding lights.
Its all cool and all but I think Etihad's First Class aparment is still a league above. [editline]edit[/editline]
The market for this has to be pretty small. For the costs involved, you'd think someone who would buy this would look towards a private jet. There's some timeshare style options for doing that "cheaply."

Yea, I mean if I wanna pay 21k for privacy, might as well get a private jet

A private jet, its upkerp, and its logistics are way more expensive than that I think
Actually, the reason a person would fly first class on commercial would be completely different that the reason one would fly on private jets, or to be more accurate business jets. Commercial first class sell only one thing, Luxury travel. You get special treatment, board and leave the plane early, extra comfort during the flight, big seats, no crying babies, food that actually looks and tastes like food and metal cutleries for your journey. But still, you have to come to the airport hours before flight, be subject to security checks and will still have to follow airline timetabling. Business jets (chartered) on the other hand, never actually sold Luxury. The only reason they synonimize with luxury is because of the money of the people involved. Same thing with supercars, everyone likes fast cars but the only time someone would buy a supercar is when they're filthy rich, and because you're rich you're going to buy that $200k Huracan with leather stitched suede seats and not the $50k Atom with plastic chairs. Anyway, business jets sell Speed and Flexibility. They're more focused on businessmens who want to maximize production by minimizing time loss. Why go on a 5 hour commercial flight, spending extra 3 hour in the airport to attend a business meeting when you can spend almost less than an hour at the airport plus 3 hours on a business jet. Not only you saved 4 hours, that extra time accumulates on multiple flights and at the end of the day you may have fitted in 10 extra business meetings in which resulted in profit which completely offsets the chartering costs of the jet. Business jets have higher cruise altitude which directly means higher cruise speed. To expand more, depending on how cheap you are, you won't even get that caviar and foie gras as people usually see in photos. Most business jet charters just take the catering available at the local airport and that means Economy Class food. There are also limiting factors when it comes to chartering business jets. The biggest being range. While these jets are usually fine under 5-6 hours. When it comes to transoceanic flight it becomes a problem. Mostly because you would have to charter bigass ultra long range jets, and these babies are not cheap. A flight from Dubai to New York in a Global Express would be in the ballpark of $100-$120k. Excluding crew charges and accommodation. And because of this, we turn full 180, and the businessman who would usually be traveling on a business jet will now be on that Emirates flight from Dubai to NY, not on first class but business class. (And this is where flights like BA001-002, QR15-16 and SQ21-22 makes money, commercially operated, all business class trans-oceanic flights on small planes catered for cases just like this. For example BA001, the check in facilities are specialized for last minute check ins, the flight departs London City, which is a lot closer than Heathrow, the customs are per-cleared which means the moment you arrive at JFK you pick up your bags and leave straight, no border control, the small plane/amount of passenger means that boarding and disembarking is much quicker, and the timing for the flights means you arrive in London/New York in the morning right before work hours all fresh and rested.) The only time where a person would travel on a business jet for leisure is if they make more money breathing than the total income of everyone under the 50% median. And even if they do some of them won't even fly transoceanic.
I've seen people saying he's good behind a camera. Are you joking? Nearly every damn clip was overexposed with blinding lights.
check your monitor because the exposure was fine despite the light from the windows being fairly intense (and they kind of should be because you're supposed to bump up the exposure when a subject is backlit), which can't really be fixed outside of shutting the windows completely if anything he actually managed the light pretty well, everything in the video was very clear to make out but was still radiantly lit
4 million subscribers Still uses cheap canon camera.
I wouldn't say the 80D is cheap, it's mid-pro range. What's weirder to me is that he hasn't gotten himself that sweet-fidelity 4K yet. The MkIV seems it'd be right up his alley.
He seems like he moves around a lot so maybe he's afraid to break it or lose it. though I bet the dude makes a shitton of money so I dunno
lol nope, one of the main points he makes about filmmaking is to "never miss that shot", and he treats all of his equipment like shit - dropping it from heighs, wrecklessly holding cameras out of car windows, flying his drones in rainy or windy conditions. To him, if it breaks he'll just replace it. If it means he got the shot, it's a victory to him.
