Good way to show off your nerd. Don't. WOW WHY DID YOU PUT FACEPUNCH LOGOS ALL OVER YOUR SCHOOL WORK YOUR TEACHER MUST THINK YOU'RE DEVOID OF SOCIAL LIFEEEEEE
Wow, no.
Good way to show off your nerd. Don't. WOW WHY DID YOU PUT FACEPUNCH LOGOS ALL OVER YOUR SCHOOL WORK YOUR TEACHER MUST THINK YOU'RE DEVOID OF SOCIAL LIFEEEEEE
I've seen other students that show off their 5th grade arts and crafts skills by gluing construction paper and color-penciled figures to one another. And that's just one logo.

Amazing poster. Also, I see the facepunch logo!
I never knew using Photoshop/GIMP was considered 5th grade.
I used Photoshop back in 5th grade in the advanced class, you should see how bad the stuff I made back then was. It's about 1.5x better than your poster, get some skill.
I've done a short video for a school project before, which required me to advertise a fictional product. It was very unoriginal (obvious rip-off of Powerthirst), but my teacher loved it anyway.
That was amazingly funny, can't believe I haven't seen that video from you, the unknown moments series is awesome. 2011 is too long off. :saddowns:
One of the options for a project in my latin class was to make a Roman structure, I created a traditional Roman temple using Gmod and told my teacher it was "an advanced modeling program" My face when I got an A: :smugdog:

nice work brandon
Probably would've been easier in sketchup or an actual modelling program.
A couple of pillars, a few largish phoenix platforms, a few props from the cs_phoenix map, slap on the right materials and you have a Roman temple.

I used the OP's poster as a reference point.
I would use it.
I totally would if the directions weren't strict as fuck.
Good way to show off your nerd. Don't. WOW WHY DID YOU PUT FACEPUNCH LOGOS ALL OVER YOUR SCHOOL WORK YOUR TEACHER MUST THINK YOU'RE DEVOID OF SOCIAL LIFEEEEEE
You do realize that a forum is just a huge social network? That's right, social.
You do realize that a forum is just a huge social network? That's right, social
Let's get real here, a forum is not a substitute for quality interactions with real people. I know The Social Network makes you think nerds can prevail in social situations, but that's patently untrue.

I'm getting a little off topic here. I think there are far too many negative effect from using Garry's Mod for school projects. Firstly it promotes laziness by using other people's work as your own. Teacher will throw out A+'s thinking your ragdoll mess is a stroke of genius.

Also, rating yourself is incredibly retarded.
Offtopic? you are the one who called his poster shit, and when he asked for proof of your work all you did was mock his.
Yes, I did call his school projected made with Garry's Mod shit. Very relevant information! However my discussion on The Social Network is not, for that I humbly apologize.
I did a really shitty video for english class using it once. Teacher gave me an A though since he thought I used some weird animating program or some shit.
Are you me?
Yeah, had an English assignment where we had to construct a model of the globe theater. I made a map of it in Hammer and did a video walk-through for the assignment. Another time, for a German assignment with a topic and execution of our choice (so long as it was German-y), I mapped out a section of the Berlin wall and made a big poster. It was also pretty cool. For both, I used Gmod to record the videos/take snapshots, and to add some props.
So I can't use Army Men toys for a panoramic project because another person has created the models?
If you explain to the teacher that you did not create these models, and you give sources where they are due. Too many times have I seen pictures thrown together unsourced.
I thought of the idea of using GMOD for a project. The idea went into production and half way I dropped it. Why? It ended up being really silly. I just stuck with fancy presentations. :P Here are the outtakes from the project
