I spent so long on it because I was using Faceposer and I hadn't spent much time using it in the past so I was still relatively new with it. The finished product got me a B+ because some of my information was a bit off, but I was asked a hell of a lot of questions as to how I did it after it was over.

How did you get Faceposer out of a biomes project?
I considered using it once.
Then realized my graphics sucked. But everyone in my school is like LOL PAINT A+, so even when I add simple shit in Photoshop, I get A+'s

I've considered it, but in my art class we have to use at least 200 DPI, so even the largest screenshot is fairly small, which would make it useless in most cases.
I've used gmod for two of my school projects, both receiving full marks.
One of them was for socials where we had to construct this factory for a story that we read. Most people used cardboard boxes to build physical models or made live action videos on events that happened in the story. I chose to build the whole factory using hl2 props and PHX, and gave a tour through the whole thing by video.
My teacher was very impressed. I kept trying to explain to him that I didn't model anything and that it was made through a "sandbox" game. He however, not understanding what I meant still assumes that I'm some computer graphics genius.
Didn't use GMod, but i just did a map for a technology project, and people loved it.
Yes, very much. It's so versatile, that you can do any project and involve Gmod in some way, and in doing so, make that project fun.
I have made a short film portraying the images and concepts behind books. I have done my physics projects with an automatic potato cannon on it.
and most notable: RBalpha. Which was my IB personal project. I designed and built a recon blimp for use in urban environments. I tested the CG and CT placement on it, checked for stability in the ratios, and made a perfect simulator for it.
I finished the simulator before the blimp, and I was completely stunned by the accuracy. it flew EXACTLY like in real life. Anyway, got 26/27 for it
