I'm getting the kind of responses I expected to get. You all are making 30 years ago sound like the Dark Ages with the plague and lawlessness and everyone lived like barbarians. Yes, I wasn't alive in the 80's or 70's but it looked awesome and yes I'm almost positive I'd be like I imagined. It's not some far away concept.
You clearly have some stereotypes of the 70's and 80's you aren't sharing with us. Why? Because you know we'll disprove them.
