Should this really be counted as a College course?

We only understand PC's because we well use them everyday, some people don't if you wanted to get used to using PC's while achieving a grade at the same time that would be a great course to take, but for us it wouldn't as most of us know our way around windows.
You're gonna have a lot of useless courses in College, and most of em' take time too.
Not everyone knows how to use the computer. :downs:

then what are you doing in college? The computer has been one of the biggest changes in our lives in the last 15 years.

i didnt know this
I had one of these as a Highschool freshman last year. I basically just fucked off the entire class and still managed to get a 100. Expect to pretty much use your PC like you normally do and get graded for it.
I took a computer engineering class last year. That teacher knew fucking EVERYTHING.
Best computer-related class I ever took.
Man I did somethin' like this and I didn't get college credit.
I'm taking a class like that for my Junior and Senior years of highschool. The first year is for computers, second is for networking. I am going to try and make them fit it into 1 year as I am only taking it because I need credits.
1. Queen B 101: The Life and Times of Lil' Kim
Syracuse University students taking "Hip-Hop Eshu: Queen B@#$H 101 -- The Life and Times of Lil' Kim" got the ultimate guest speaker last week -- Lil' Kim herself.
It's a good thing the school is in New York. The multiplatinum recording artist has been charged with lying under oath about a shooting incident three years ago involving her posse and rival rapper Foxy Brown's crew. (She has pleaded not guilty.)
Despite the controversy, the school welcomed her with open arms. And the singer, who often shows up at events with little clothing, even dressed for the occasion.
"I am honored and quite proud," the 29-year-old rapper said in a statement before meeting with 100 students and faculty, including English professor Greg Thomas, who invited her to discuss hip-hop culture as one of its leading female stars.
"Her lyrical artistry is nothing short of revolutionary," Thomas told ABC Radio. "It's the art with the most profound sexual politics I've ever seen anywhere."
At Syracuse, Thomas urges students to delve beyond the surface. He kicked off a class by having students transcribe the lyrics to "Get Money," one of the songs Lil' Kim did several years ago with her group Junior M*A*F*I*A.
"After they had basically been compelled to show respect to the song … then we did the video analysis," he said. "They got to see the way that that meaning was translated on video. They were blown away and we've been riding ever since."

This is real.
I had a class like this and it was a fucking prerequisite for almost all my IT classes...
yea...
easy credits woo.
I had to take a class like this as well
it was required for all students
I had to take something like this in college, and it was a non-credit course. It was just Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
it's really not that dumb, there are a lot of people who don't know how to use computers efficiently or even at all and with nearly every career using computers now a days, it's not that bad to learn how to use one.
Easy Credits. I don't why you're complaining.
-snip-
I had a basic level computing course and my teacher didn't know what system restore was, nor that you could recover a file after it's been deleted from the recycling bin.
Needless to say I aced that class.
The only way you could have made it to college without knowing basic computer skills if you were either an idiot who has lots of money, or an idiot who can play sports.
I think that's one of the most badass classes I've ever heard of.
My school had Rastamen in to teach African drums.

Not everyone who plays sports is an idiot.
Looks like a basic computer course.
Not everyone who is attending college is your age group, there are older folks who are going back to school due to job displacement and they need classes like this to catch up with the modern world.
No, it shouldn't count as a collage course. It should be tought in 1st Grade.
At Oxford you can do "Mathematics and Philosophy".
My high school has a class like this. Easy as balls, not only did I get the highest mark, but I had a higher mark than he over achieving Asian who sat behind me.
That being said, as it has been ninja'd, there are tons of older geenration who don't know who to use a computer. Pretty much my mom and on don't know jack about computers.

So? What's the issue with that?
Yah, we have that in high-school. It's pretty much a wasted block for a whole semester.
I rather take that Starcraft course.
Yes.
Despite what you may think the vast majority of people don't understand this, be glad you're part of the minority that does.
This.
