The god damn lighning came at the worst possible time yesterday.

That's WHY you get storms. Rapid changes in pressure (brought on by temperature).

i still haven't played twilight princess, probably because it still costs $100 after being released five years ago
might give the handheld ones a go, or windwaker if i can figure out the gamecube shit
I need to get around to playing twilight princess, i have it sitting around
I'm about halfway through Super Mario Galaxy and I have no desire to even pick it up, for no reason that I can think of. If I got Twilight Princess then I'd probably do the same.
Also Dolphin, the Wii and Gamecube emulator has support for the Wii's virtual console. Playing an emulator on an emuator, now all we need is to run it on a Windoes emulator and we can inception that shit.
A bird walked into my room, it looked at me and I looked at him, he then turned around and walked away, it was weird.
what kind of bird?
Went for a 16.2 km cycle. Feels good/bad man.
My bad knee was killing me after that.
what kind of bird?
Nearly drove over one on my way home today.
how so?
They breed faster than pigeons and carry more diseases.
What kind of bird is it?

I wasn't aware Westerners were really susceptible to zoonoses from wild avian species either. Something to look into I guess

Yup, I thought I'd read something similar.

By a guy doing his PhD a few years ago
so the Myna isn't nearly as bad as people think
the potential is there, certainly, but not right now
kind of like how people think free-range is better for chickens
How is free range not better for chickens?
How is free range not better for chickens?
In free-range environments chickens suffer from a higher mortality rate (due to exposure), increased disease, increased stereotypies like feather plucking, higher rates of cannibalism (when their beaks haven't been snipped) and pecking other chickens.
Bone breakage is less (around 50% experience a breakage in their lifetime as opposed to ~80% in cages), as are a few of the other issues with cage and barn systems, but they're still present.
Either way, they suffer tremendously. I doubt too many egg companies are going to try and sell free-range eggs on the basis that they have a higher mortality rate, so they suffer less.
Keeping a few chickens is great though, and their eggs are 10000x better than store-bought ones.

In theory free-range is better, and if you could actually make the industry follow a range of rules and regulations then it would be better, but at present it's as shit as all the other options.
And it's not easy to simply 'make' the livestock industry do anything, considering how it works.
