i really want to take that drive, although can't find anyone willing to come with / share the drive. ferking friends
what's wrong with your friends? [editline]28th November 2011[/editline] that is why don't they want to come I love that stretch of coast childhood 101
most of my friends aren't the driving type. "driving is for point a to b". no enjoyment out of their car - they're the type of people that would pay a mechanic to replace the oil in their engine. they just don't understand the enjoyment of it
Quitting Woolies soon. Gonna write up my letter of resignation and then I'm gone in two weeks. So fucking sick of this job. Wow, I haven't been in this thread for a while.

FP great ocean road motorcycle club
was that you dont get having enjoyment or don't get why people dont have enjoyment?
was that you dont get having enjoyment or don't get why people dont have enjoyment?
the latter I'm pretty sure anyone in any period of time before steam machines would shit their pants at riding a car, first in terror and then in glee mechanical masterpiece
driving sucks, i don't enjoy it at all car is a coffin etc
driving sucks, i don't enjoy it at all car is a coffin etc
you suck driving owns, especially when you have a turbo diesel and you floor it
it really doesn't. driving like a fuckin twat with your foot to the floor would hardly be economic with the mileage I do, diesel or not. i'd rather ride a bike or catch the tram, at least I could read a book or something
driving like a fuckin twat with your foot to the floor would hardly be economic with the mileage I do, diesel or not.
:| You mustn't do much mileage if you can take the bike or tram. Who cares about it being economical, we're talking about fun, not the daily commute.
i really want to take that drive, although can't find anyone willing to come with / share the drive. ferking friends
I'll go with you. :quagmire: [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] WHY IS THERE SO MANY ANTS IN MY HAIR
I'll go with you. :quagmire: [editline]29th November 2011[/editline] WHY IS THERE SO MANY ANTS IN MY HAIR
Ants in your hair? Take a shower.
I'm sorry but if you don't enjoy being thrown back into your seat from the power of a turbo diesel there is something wrong with you I'm not talking about stop start city traffic, fuck that, im talking about a long straight country road
I hate straight roads. It's so boring. That's why I hated going to Geelong for uni weekdays. You need a road with curves and something to keep you on your toes. In a manual. People who like to drive drive manuals. Others are just point A to point B people.
inner/city driving = kill me I wish they would have extended the Eastern freeway to the Tullamarine freeway
inner/city driving = kill me I wish they would have extended the Eastern freeway to the Tullamarine freeway
i think some of most interesting fringe area driving i've done is at the end of the tulla freeway on some of the roads there. narrow twisty roads. default 100km/h limit, not that you can do it. almost lost it at 40 :| that and mt dandenong. most interesting i've found is oxley and bruxner highway in nsw also the eastern is a joke. i feel sorry for anyone who has to take punt or hoddle in the mornings and evenings. that is the worst.
whatg do you drive?
2010 ford focus (manual because its more fun) [editline]29th November 2011[/editline]
I'll go with you. :quagmire:
i don't take poos with me.

People who like to drive drive manuals. Others are just point A to point B people.
Kilometer after kilometer is pretty boring but a 5k straight stretch of road with a few hills is really fun
where exactly were they? might go for a drive there tomorrow
http://g.co/maps/gqfrh its not as windey as i thought, but its a fun drive. steep hills with turns, one lane bridges etc
I'm never going to get my license, i have nowhere to drive. I live ten minutes ride from uni (which is like a half hour drive I suppose but I don't want to drag my mum there with) and anywhere else I go is within 10kms of my house. Inner-city lifestyle is no good for getting hours. [editline]30th November 2011[/editline] Also Newcastle fucking sucks why do people even live here
you are missing out. you are eventually going to have to get a licence as chances are once you've finished up at melbourne uni, you'll be working out of the city area. might as well start now so you can at least get it once you're ready
I haven't got anywhere to drive for practice or the money for petrol. I'll get a motorbike license or wait til I'm 25 and get the easy P plates.
I love living in the docklands because I'm right next to all the highways so I don't have to travel in the inner city, except to uni
I love living in the docklands because I'm right next to all the highways so I don't have to travel in the inner city, except to uni
And lucky you, you'll be travelling against, not with rush hour traffic in both directions.
And lucky you, you'll be travelling against, not with rush hour traffic in both directions.
My old man's e-tag still debits his account so I use that for all the tollways, making things much faster. Have you driven very far before? I was like 'whatever point A to point B, serves only utility function' until I actually started driving and really enjoyed it. For hours I drove up to Queensland and around there on a holiday, and got my family to pay for the petrol because I took their luggage (and a freezer). There are some really beautiful spots in Victoria (and beyond) that aren't really accessible until you're driving.
what you drive contag?
late 90s jeep grand cherokee [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/13/1996-1998_Jeep_Grand_Cherokee.jpg[/t] about as clean too
