All the while, we're competing for degrees because we probably won't get a job in our field if we don't (or that's what we're told), whilst all the fields are increasingly becoming oversaturated or moving jobs overseas, and many, if not most of us will not be able to afford to own a house in our lifetime - something that was an easily achievable goal in previous generations. None of this is our fault - but we have it so fucking good, right?

Luckily I'm still living at home (gonna start paying board as next week though (not being forced to, it was my own suggestion)), but I understand what you mean. It seems like the whole system is working AGAINST us at the moment. I feel like it's going to be impossible for me to ever own a house outright and that's kind of a worrying thought.
