'cause mum and dad want me to actually save money (pay for uni, save for when I leave uni, etc).
pay for uni?
why on earth would you do that before they start taking it out of your pay when you're earning more than 42k a year
usually only big banks and corporations get interest-free loans!
drunk me thought it would be good to flounder in the rain listening to MGMT at 2 in the morning, my clothes are soaked
We get 20% discounts on our uni fees if we pay up front, also I don't have to worry about losing money from my wages later on when I might need it to pay off a mortgage among other things.
Right now I'm living at home, and don't own a car. I can afford to pay off uni fees right now while I have no major things in my life that are sucking money away, so I'm going to do so before I get to a point in my life where I actually NEED the money I earn.
What are you two studying?

Of course you suddenly don't care; you know I'm right.

It's actually really nice at night if you sit outside, apart from the mozzies.

Went down to the local EB games and played darts with the manager.
He was trying to sell us a Kinect and was trying to convince us that they're really good.
What happened? The game wouldn't recognize that two people were standing there.
But the manager is pretty cool. So we all laughed.

Quite literally, I believe. I read a bunch of studies that said that, unlike removing basically any other given species or type of insect, the removal of mosquitos would have no negative significant effect on an ecosystem, and would have significant benefits (lower levels of malaria, etc.).
I fucking hate mosquitos. So, so much.

Whaaat?! But it was 20% all of this year! That's why a lot of my friends at uni paid off their semesters fees up front (to get the discount).

He wasn't trying to sell US a kinect. He was bored, and saw a good opportunity to do something fun, and advertise a product to all of the other customers that were popping in and out!
It's Scott (lol), he knows how much we frequent the shop, and he knows we're uni students. Ergo, he knows we're poor fuckers who can't afford that kinda stuff :v:

Just had a 30 minute fever, how does that work?
Anyone here on iiNet? In all games my ping goes to shit but on speedtest.net it's fine..
Just had a 30 minute fever, how does that work?
If I sneeze a great number of times in short succession I get really bad fever like symptoms (can feel freezing cold but I'll be sweating a lot for example), but then they subside after a few minutes.
I went pale, felt like shit and had a 38 degree temperature (usually 36). Maybe I have an amazing immune system, or maybe it is waiting to strike later
you might be going through menopause
