;33639402']I envy the people complaining about the rain, out in ol' country WA it's hot as fuck with no rain where I'm at In other news, starting IT at TAFE next year, anything I need to know? (Other than omg that's stupid go to uni/do something else) I don't know anyone else who's been there and any tips would be appreciated :v:
You should probably look at getting a whole box of certifications for IT, I hear they're pretty valuable what level is the course?
You should probably look at getting a whole box of certifications for IT, I hear they're pretty valuable what level is the course?
Just level 1 as far as I know, figure might as well go from the very beginning (even if it is just piss easy stuff)
Don't do a cert 3 unless you have to, it's a complete waste of time
Don't do a cert 3 unless you have to, it's a complete waste of time
I got a cert 3 by doing IT as a high school subject (or at least I should have it I dunno when I get that certificate).
Doing it outside of school is a waste of time unless you are paid like me. It's 90% common knowledge 10% some obscure bs you need to spend 30 seconds looking in a book for with a little customer service thrown in
All nighter so I could get breakfast from maccas.
Oh fuck me its only 12:50, days are a lot longer than I thought they were.
are you guys on daylight savings or something because its 1:50 and that post happened 2 hours ago
1.50? it says 2.50 [editline]11th December 2011[/editline] so in other words yes
I thought we had already established most of us resided in Melbourne.

[editline]12th December 2011[/editline] On that Topic, us Melbournians should host a FP LAN party, I have the networking shit, all we really need is a big enough place to host it in and a bunch of willing people with computers.

I remember LAN parties when people didn't have internet
last few days have been terribad.
agreed
Whoo speeding fine. What are the speeds that you can write an apology letter for and get away with it?
Whoo speeding fine. What are the speeds that you can write an apology letter for and get away with it?
Five above the limit; I think that's about the fuck-up range of speed cameras.
In a 70 zone it's got alleged 76 and detected 78 so doubtful.
Grandpa died a few hours ago, dad is flying back to Scotland tomorrow to see his mum and I'm guessing attend the funeral (he won't be home until mid-January), and I've got to work until midnight tonight. What a wonderful day. Gave dad his xmas present early considering I might not see him again after tonight for an entire month (he'll most likely be asleep when I get home from work).
In a 70 zone it's got alleged 76 and detected 78 so doubtful.
Do you have any excuses?
Grandpa died a few hours ago, dad is flying back to Scotland tomorrow to see his mum and I'm guessing attend the funeral (he won't be home until mid-January), and I've got to work until midnight tonight.
:( I'm sorry.
Whoo speeding fine. What are the speeds that you can write an apology letter for and get away with it?
first offence, in victoria up to 9km/h, note you have to admit fault, so if for whatever reason they so no, you cannot do anything about it but pay the find. http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?document_id=10369 still yet to get the fine the guy in the mobile speed camera told me i would. [editline]12th December 2011[/editline]
In a 70 zone it's got alleged 76 and detected 78 so doubtful.
if it's 2km/h off, you must've gotten one from a fixed speed camera. [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] you should be right with getting an official warning for that ticket though [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] also cool website: http://mobile-speed-cameras.com.au/ although i think it could be the last month it's updated since vic police stopped publishing the weekly roster from today.
Fixed speed camera, I know the one. Was at 11:18pm, absolutely no-one else around, clear night, intersection is straight after a downward slope, I reckon I can justify it.
Was at 11:18pm, absolutely no-one else around, clear night, intersection is straight after a downward slope, I reckon I can justify it.
justify it to who? i wouldn't dare send a letter to the traffic camera office saying it was okay because there was no one else around haha just go for the official warning. which intersection was it?
Geelong, intersection of Princess Highway and Pioneer Road. And by justify I mean put it in a nice apology letter and try to get a warning and save myself $150.
Geelong, intersection of Princess Highway and Pioneer Road.
When was the offence? But true. A savingof $150 and 1 point = winning for all.
trying to get a job hard as fuck cunts [editline]12th December 2011[/editline] also probably not going to go to uni next year probably going to join the army reserves in late january and then get a part time job (if the aforementioned problem doesn't stop me)
http://www.smh.com.au/business/melbourne-judged-worlds-most-liveable-city-20110830-1jjaq.html Damn right..
When was the offence? But true. A savingof $150 and 1 point = winning for all.
24th of November, only just got the fine. Got until the 19th of January to pay it so might be able to get a review through.
