I love the beaches in WA, they're really beautiful. Much better then here in Vic (IMO).

depends where you go really. problem with many of our beaches is that they're in the bay, so they get all the crap from the bay, cargo ships etc washing up on the shores. once you go out, say to lorne, queenscliff or portsea, it's really nice.
also so many people from melbourne and victoria in here. like 95% vic, 5% other.

Well, I have family in WA and they live really close to the coast and the few times I've been there, it's been really nice. Although I can agree, Lorne & Portsea are really awesome places to go also.

Perth is super pretty, but it's dead as fuck. It seems to me to be a nice place to raise your family if you're well off, but there really is nothing to do but go to the beach. Even when you're in the city - nothing to do.
At least it's nicer than Canberra.
On the flip side, if you want to relax, you'll be right.

Yeah, the beaches around the Great Ocean Road are nice, and some get good waves, too.
The ones closer to the inner city are disgusting.
Yeah but they're bay beaches, they're shit for everything except sunbathing and walking your dog (where allowed). The only decent bay beach is the Cowes beach and that's in a whole different bay.
Sunbathing and walking your dog? I don't know about that. My cousin, when she was a child, stepped on a beach barefoot and stood on a syringe. I see them everywhere when I go to those beaches. Ew.
Never been to Cowes beach, though. I don't mind around the Phillip Island area.
I haven't been there but I've flown roughly over it pretty much every time I've gone flying, it seems decent.
