Took the skin off of both of my pinkys in the exact same place yesterday while ice-skating. Was my first time ever and I quickly realised that the reason I couldn't even stand in them properly was because they were too loose. I kept having to tighten them as much as possible and eventually pulling on the laces so much tore the skin off of my pinkys.
Feels bad man.
Great work indeed. I went from not even being able to stand in the skates to being able to skate quite quickly in them in the space of the time it took to tighten them.
I'm kinda disappointed that I never fell over while skating, though. That's bullshit.

I can imagine falling over on ice to hurt a lot. So don't want to when you already hurt yourself that day.

I went roller blading with some friends once, little did I know that none of them could roller blade so I was left with the people who couldn't even stand up without help. With my 8 years of roller blading experience I helped them this was ages ago though. So 8 has turned into 10 or 11. What a scary thought.
One girl was roller skating and she weighed more than I did, so I had to keep her upright while I was smaller than her and with my skates which have fast bearings in them so I slipped and slid myself with her pushing me. Was fun apart from that.
