On the note of all of the uni talk: failed a physics prac for the first time ever last week. Was not a good day. Got about 3 hours sleep the night before (after learning that my grandpa is gonna die soon because his lungs are filled with literally dozens of tumours and they think there's one in his brain too), ended up doing the longest prac I'll do this semester (also the first I did this semester), happened to have a cunt of a demonstrator who has a grudge against me after he accused me of something last semester which it turns out I didn't do and I basically made an ass of him in front of everyone because of it, and the other group that was doing the same prac as us stole the equipment at the start and got a half hour head start on us because we were only given one meter to use to do measurements.
Not only did they get a half hour head start on us, but Mr. Cuntington decided to mark us first (even though we explained to him several times that we were at a disadvantage due to having started later). His response? "There was plenty of time to finish it." Which is funny, 'cause the other group only JUST finished after he finished marking us (which took him about 20 minutes). So despite their 50 or so minute advantage on us they only JUST finished and my demonstrators response is that we "had enough time?"
If it effects my mark negatively at the end of the semester I'm gonna demand that we get to do the prac again, and if we can't, assuming the mark we got in that prac is a serious outlier compared to the other marks we get I'll ask if they can only grade us out of the marks that are close together and obviously 'correct'.
