I feel like I did horrible in my trial IPT exam, I hope its not worth much.
almost witnessed a head on.
old man infront of me is going 20 in a 60 zone. guy behind me in a ford falcon is high beaming me, beeping me, thinking im holding people up. pulls out into oncoming traffic (divided by a single solid line, ie illegal) realises there is someone in front of me. goes back in his place but almost hits someone in on coming traffic. man that could've been bad......
I saw something similar coming home from the movies the other night
some impatient dick didn't like that my mum was doing 55 in a 60 zone in the rain, so he pulled out across double lines in front of a b double to overtake us, then 5 minutes later he went out again in front of a landcruiser. People need to learn how to drive.
What really pisses me off is when shit for brains get mad at you when you cant drive while on your L's
lol. I'll be fine, I've got it figured out and if I was doing something really stupid my parents would have stopped me.
"hi im 15 years old and i have it all figured out and i know better than anyone else"

Why was she going 55 in a 60 zone? What does she drive?

This is basically the status quo for learner drivers in NSW. Only allowed 80 anywhere, even in a 110 stretch.
Another reason NSW sucks.

Wait what? If you don't know how to drive, why are you driving around other cars?
Or do you mean if you don't know the road rules?
Why was she going 55 in a 60 zone? What does she drive?
Probably because it was raining?
I've been in TWO car accidents inside of a year (one wasn't even two major, car just spun 180 degree and slid backwards around the round about before coming to a rest in the middle of the road, the other... it was pretty bad) and both were related to bad road conditions after it had rained.
I'm fucking cautious in the rain now.
I wasn't driving during either accident, I was the passenger. And the people that WERE driving were perfectly capable, good drivers. The loss of traction was COMPLETELY random in the first, 'lesser' accident (we accelerated to like 5km/h after coming to a stop at a round about and because the road was greasy the car lost all traction for some reason), and in the second more 'major' crash we rounded a corner only to be confronted with a stretch of wet, muddy road (on the side of a hill, so there was no tarmac).
Water is SCARY stuff sometimes.
There's no point leaving this here, this worthless saga changes nothing and I'd like it if people quoting this text removed the quotes to remove this information, I would like to apologize.
You are so unprepared for VCE.

You're going in with the worst attitude.
"Hi I'm a condescending 17 year old that thinks anyone with a smile on their face when talking about their future must have potato mash for brains!" I'm good, I overthink everything on a hyper-minute level, and I have spent dozens of hours mulling over what I want to do and I know I'm going to try work as a writer. I feel good about this, I know what the future holds for me and I know that a lot of difficult tasks are ahead, but I definitely don't have squashed vegtables for a brain and I'm not expecting my life ahead to be filled with glory and riches, but there's no point being all doom and gloom about it. Plus I'm one step ahead most people in my year, their plans are; do the generic classes, don't think about the future and hope that their jobs will come to them in a dream.
When a anxious over-dramatic guy like me says chill about something important, it's safe to say I've figured it out.
........
You realize writing is the shittiest job ever, right?
1. You spend a year writing a book
2. You have to try and find a publisher which could ages.
3. You have to get published, which could take years
4. You dont get paid till you get published
Rethink your gameplan bud
either of you understand the mindset of writers
just don't bother

one of these

The road was wet, it was raining. We were also out in a green belt between where we live and the bay, so the roads were pretty shit. Mum didn't want to crash
I mean as in not being able to take off from the lights 100% of the time without stalling and other things like that that come with practice.
[editline]23rd August 2011[/editline]
moonage, do you know you even like writing?
Do you have any examples of your work?

Northern NSW.
I want to write to write. I'd do what I enjoy for the sake of doing it, I know the difficulties of writing, getting published ect, and frankly I don't care how condemning and asumptous you are of my intelligence and plans I'm going to do what I love, I'm not in it for the money and fame. Plus I never said I'm writing a book. (I am but I'm thinking about journalism)
[editline]23rd August 2011[/editline]
Also I like your attitudes. The assumption that I'm stupid is a bit insulting, but hey anyone who's happy's gotta be brought down right?
such innocence.

Get into journalism or the publishing industry, it'll give you a much bigger chance. An english degree is fine but really, get a professional job where you do a bit of writing or become familiar with publishers, it'll get you a lot further.
Also it's not about if you have a dream or you are happy, it's about your expectations when it's incredibly likely you do not have enough information and experience to make an informed decision. You're incredibly likely to fail if you just keep up the ideas you have now, so you have to respond to criticism and cynicism and remake your plan in a better image.
such innocence.
Your assumption at me being naive is unjust, frankly there's no way I can prove the fact that I understand so we might as well just move on. I'm smart but I guess it's the job of people older than you to talk down at you, the bane of my existence, but hey you guys aren't going to change your bias.

i lold when the popo in nsw pulled me over after just crossing the border for doing 110. he though i was 20km/h over the speed limit (90km/h limit on P1 in NSW), incorrectly displayed my Ps (Ps have to be on the outside in NSW, and look different). just showed him my license, on my way i went.
lol nsw's have a shit time. although we have a terrible one with speeding fines. 2 - 3km speed tolerance...
Thank you devodiere that was actually helpful, and yea, I've been doing a lot of research but frankly I like my plan, and since most people don't know me, telling met plans are stupid isn't very helpful.

it's one thing to be smart, it's another disregard everything people have said simply because you're smart. that just results in you showing your lack of maturity. and smarts isn't the only thing needed to do well in your HSC or VCE.
Then suggest changes! Criticism is useless unless you suggest help!
Then suggest changes! Criticism is useless unless you suggest help!
as has been mentioned many times through different forms, change your attitude. don't expect marks to be easy. it's a stupid way to go about things.
I didn't give a fuck about year 12 (basically the only year that matters anyway). I'd just had enough by that point, went, "fuck the whole thing!" and still got away with a 80.85 ENTER score.
English REALLY let me down. Had I put effort into that apparently my ENTER could have been a shit load higher. I got really good results in methods and physics, pretty decent results in Chem (higher than average) and average results in specialist maths. That was all without any study whatsoever bar the first few weeks, and the last few weeks.
If I did year 12 again would I have done it differently?
Nope. But that's just me. I got where I wanted to be. Uni - doing science. Others probably wouldn't be happy with an 80.85 but given I put next to no effort into the whole year I'm not complaining. I enjoyed myself and had fun during year 12 (for the first time in a long, long time).

damn straight it's my job to talk down to you.
I understand that the marks are going to be bloody hard. You have re-iterated that insistently and I have duly noted. Anything else?
[sp]when I said easy marks I was feeling confident I could handle the difficulty, mainly because I just got 100% on a test, it was really an overstatement I didn't mean it was easy, I just meant that they would come easy. Over confident but that's probably been the most confident I've been about the future in years.[/sp]
Why would you even want to go into contemporary 'rewrite the articles from associated press' bullshit journalism anyway?
You don't need a degree to try and sneak into North Korea.
