Coronas are nice! One of the only 'heavy' beers I can find that DOESN'T make you feel completely bloated.

Gin (because Bombay Sapphire tastes fucking awesome)

They're both shithouse. Falls is fucking awful compared with last year - Pyramid is a bit better. I went to Pyramid last year and it was fucking sick. It didn't have the biggest bands but it had heaps that I'd been listening to for a couple of years.

Yeah cool you listed a bunch of bands who play $20 gigs at pubs around Melbourne + The Arctic Monkeys who I've seen before and have gotten markedly worse since. I personally don't think the lineup (nor the atmosphere) is worth the amount they charge.
I'm not going to go to a festival like that again until they bring big acts to Australia to justify the price. If I were in America or England for slightly more money I could go to Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury etc. I mean fuck if I put in $200 more I could go to Splendour.
But regardless, you're calling me lame for not wanting to spend money on an average festival. I hope you enjoy the festival and you don't feel unsatisfied afterwards.

What did you guys all do last New Year? I was at Pyramid with my now girlfriend and a couple of friends. We spent two hours getting drunk in the classiest way. We weren't allowed to bring alcohol in and they checked our bags pretty thoroughly - so we dumped it in a bush before we got into the festival. We got a big (maybe 8 litre) water container, then filled it with that iced tea cordial mix and vodka and got busy drinking on the side of a country road just outside the festival. Then an ambulance pulled up and told us to fuck off or they'd call the cops.
Felt an awesome mixture of shame, pride and drunk that night.
Last New Year's we had a party at my friends house (as we'll be doing again this year). I went into the CBD for like 3 hours to meet up with other friends of mine from the other side of the city, watched the fireworks, went back to friends house.
Stayed awake until like 7AM with the intention of going to Coles to get waffles! Turns out, it being new year's day and all, Coles wasn't opening until 9AM, so the friend I walked to Coles with and I decided to pass the time by having trolley wars instead (which after like 15 minutes we gave up on and returned to the house with bad news for everyone else).
Because we couldn't get waffles another friend made scones instead (because he's a baker at Baker's Delight). Girlfriend (Hana-San) ruined them by putting in too much salt, though!
It was a friends 50th birthday on new years, I got especially drunk for him
