I'll agree, it could be so so much worse. Aussie have it quite good compared to the rest of the world.
we got nature n shit yo
wildlife not so much. last kangaroo i saw alive was on a golf course while the 20 or so since then have been roadkill. birds are cool though.
I see them all the time on the way to the mountains. And cows, koala's. Melbourne's Greenbelt is actually really interesting.
willy wag tails are fucking badass birds
don't fuck with them
those little guys are insane. there's heaps of them on my walk to uni and they literally fly in circles around you mocking you and then land and wave their asses around.
got heaps of big parrots around my house in ballarat too. swarms of corellas, random galahs and sulfur crested cockatoos. had a few black cockatoos steal some fruit off our trees too, huge bastards.
Went to the pub with friends yesterday after school. Maybe it's just because I had beer from the tap instead of the bottle, but alcohol is tasting a lot better again.
Currently drinking Duff (yes, as in the beer that Homer Simpson drinks). Bought it for the novelty, gonna keep the bottle. It tastes basically like Budweiser (slightly different, but more or less the same). A little disappointing in that regard, but... again: it's something I bought for shits and giggles.
duff......?
[editline]15th September 2011[/editline]
where do you get that from? some sort of microbrew?
Apparently the german duff beer is shit.
We have Duff in the stores here as well. Never tasted it though.

That's the one I got (I think). And yeah, it's more or less Budweiser (at least by taste) so... yeah, not too great. But, hey, it looks cool.

Hey bro, have you been to Don Tojo before? It's right around the corner from me in Carlton, and it's basically the same thing as Don Don on Swanston St. (meaning awesome cheap as fuck Japanese food) but they also serve alcohol. And that's cheap as fuck as well. $4 for bottles of imported Asahi or $3 if you just want Australian beer. They also sell sake for cheap. We should go there sometime bro.
