What's actually gonna be at Armageddon? A few of my friends are going but I'd never even heard of it before last week.
I'm gonna go too. I get in free because of my UniLodge
And I wanted to cosplay. Won't happen now though. I hope my new t-shirt arrives in the mail soon.
Preferences are Macquarie, UNSW, UTS, in that order.
If I don't get into QUT I might see you there then. As for the HSC, I have yet to touch a text book or any school work in the past month so time for some last minute studying all day tomorrow. Not worried though, its just english paper 1 and IPT.
I'm gonna answer all of my exam questions in non-standard units like 'Sagans' and 'Beard-Seconds'.
What are you studying? I'm hoping to defer for a year.
Communications but I'm thinking of deferring after I finish this year (first year), doing guitar for a year then applying at the Newcastle Conservatorium (would sydney but they are so picky). Communications is a glorified arts degree and has a horrible reputation at Newcastle in the media industry, so if you grad from Newcastle its not worth much. UNSW is a lot better
What subjects are you guys doing for the HSC? I'm doing english, IPT, IT, general maths and SDD. Got 3 exams this week, one next week and another one in a month.
Extension 1 English, General Maths, Software, Biology, Legal. As for uni, looking to get into a Bachelor of Engineering (Software major) with a Bachelor of Arts (not sure what major yet). Should be easy, Macquarie requires like a 79 ATAR or something, and I'm aiming for 91 at the least. I'm SO unprepared though, fucking hell. On that note, it's almost 3am so I should really be asleep, 'night all.
Ahh year 12 I remember you fondly.
What subjects are you guys doing for the HSC? I'm doing english, IPT, IT, general maths and SDD. I picked up an IT TVET course which will start next year, sadly it's non-ATAR and can only be a one year course.
Got my call back from the dean of Law yesterday. Looks like im doing a double degree now.
Got my call back from the dean of Law yesterday. Looks like im doing a double degree now.
$30,000 and all of your hair later
The only part I'm not looking forward too.
I don't know any of the universities in Queensland except Griffith and QUT. I'm doing the QTAC application shit and I've put them down in my preferences, what are some other good universities that I can do IT courses at? I need ones near Brisbane, because I'm going to be living in Ipswich.
Got my call back from the dean of Law yesterday. Looks like im doing a double degree now.
you're doing a law / arts degree?
I need ones near Brisbane, because I'm going to be living in Ipswich.
Isn't Ipswich bogan country? I've spent all morning looking at places in Queensland to potentially live, and everywhere I go says DON'T GO TO IPSWICH.
Good luck whoevers doing english tomorrow as well

Fucking hell. It's impossible to get a job without experience, but the only way you can get experience is to have had a job... which you can't get due to a lack of experience. It feels to me like nowadays you need to know somebody 'on the inside' in order to get you a job.

It's unglamorous, but try fast food places and supermarkets and stuff to start off with. You only have to work there for a few months to get a little experience.

I'm hoping I get BOTH jobs because Coles wants night fill workers, and Dick Smith wants casual workers for late morning/early afternoon. Hopefully at least one of them responds.
