I think it's definitely possible that Daft Punk are teasing something in their collab videos with The Weeknd. In I Feel It Coming, at the end, right before Tomas and Guy show up a shooting star passes by, accompanied by a sound effect. That same shooting star is also in the background of Tomas and Guy's portrait in Starboy.

Okay after a couple more listens I Feel It Coming has definitely grown on me quite a lot. The backing track has started to stand out more and I'm feeling more of the funk aspect than the pop R&B. Starboys gonna need a bit more getting used to but I'm gonna give the whole album a couple listens through, I think I was just in gear electronica funk from DP as opposed The Weeknds pop R&B (Which I shouldn't have, its The Weeknd ft. DP, not the other way round).
