I guess i'm late then :sigh:
Anything like this will have dire consequences.
But the consequences only evolve into DIRE after they've had a few years for everybody to go "wait... this can be a ______" (weapon, slave, etc)
Give it time. Then the world will be fucked. They thought cars would be great back in the day, and now we have pollution beyond all belief (L.A. fails).

No, what harm could it do? It would be a gigantic step in scientific advancement.[/QUOTE]
What good could it do? We already know how to do it, and have done it successfully to mammals. Whats the point of making a human? How will this be a gigantic step in science?

I'm not saying that I agree with all of this, but cars DO have positives, and nearly everything has negatives.

Are you being serious? The clones would still be concious human beings, not not just some "gigantic steps in scientific advancement", for fucks sakes. Would you yourself want to be just a fucking scientific experiment, without a mother or a father or any family at all. How do you think people would treat you?
You should stop and think for a second.
22nd April 2009
Not a great success then I assume?
If the original person died, would the clone take possession of everything they owned since they're them.

I doubt the clone would care. It's not like he'd be living out of labs all his life, he would be given a proper home and foster family, and probably just get medical checkups every week.
I think you're blowing the morality of this way out of proportion.
Besides, I'd rather be "Just a science experement" as opposed to "Just a broken condom in the back of a sedan"

It wouldn't be a good thing, it would be horrible
Honestly, you furrys have no fucking idea...
...all you see if 5 feet infront of your faces.
Let me clear something up here, cause there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding.
Clones aren't exact copies of people, they're just babies that are born with the exact same genes as another person. If it was perfect then it would be no different than you having an identical twin that was younger than you.
Also, not all clones look the same. When some animals are cloned they often have different patterns in their fur. And it almost goes without saying that the person's talents and personality would be different because they are, in fact, a different person who would be raised differently. It's just like identical twins.
Cloning =/= copying a person. It's just making a baby with a donor's DNA.
It's actually kind of useless.
