Fighting a lion with a chainsaw isn't badass. Now if he used his bear hands if would be, but a using a chainsaw is weak.

Billy Mays?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Zaytsev He killed somewhere between 250 and 500, though it's argued it could be even higher then that. To top it off, the soldiers he trained killed over 3000.
Vasili Zaytsev has nothing on Simo Häyhä.
Fuck people he trained, they aren't him. Simo had 492 CONFIRMED kills, most with ironsights, rumored to be 792.
505 confirmed.
That's not badass at all. Chainsaws aren't exactly toothpicks, and the lion was starving. If anything, that guy is a pussy.
I'd like to see you do ANYTHING besides play dead when you see a mountain lion.
Well Heinrich Severloh killed 1500-2000 guys on Omaha, resulting in most of the casualties there. He fired a bolt action rifle until it warped from overheating.
Read the article you're linking before making rediculous statements. It says he inflicted 1500-200 casualties. Casualties aren't exclusively kills. It also said he fired 12,000 rounds from his machine gun and only 400 from rifles. So you can safely assume most of the casualties are from machine gun fire.
http://www.badassoftheweek.com/paleokostas.html Broke out of the same jail twice, by getting a helicopter to land in the courtyard.
The news where all like WTF when he got a helicopter the second time. As a greek, I qualify this guy as badass.
Klaus "Badass" Störtebeker!
Nikolaus Storzenbecher, or Klaus Störtebeker (c. 1360 – 20 October 1401{1400}), was a leader and the best known representative of a companionship of privateers known as the Victual Brothers ("Vitalienbrüder" in German). The Victual Brothers were originally hired during a war between Denmark and Sweden to fight the Danish and supply the besieged Swedish capital Stockholm with provisions (Latin "victualia"). After the end of the war, the Victual Brothers continued to capture merchant vessels for their own account and named themselves "Likedeelers" (literally "equal sharers"). [...] According to legend, in 1401, a Hamburgian fleet led by Simon of Utrecht caught up with Störtebeker's force near Helgoland. According to some stories, Störtebeker's ship had been disabled by a traitor who cast molten lead into the links of the chain which controlled the ship's rudder. Störtebeker and his crew were ultimately overcome and brought to Hamburg, where they were tried for piracy. Legend says that Störtebeker offered a chain of gold long enough to enclose the whole of Hamburg in exchange for his life and freedom. However, Störtebeker and all of his 73 companions were sentenced to death and were beheaded. The most famous legend of Störtebeker relates to the execution itself. Störtebeker is said to have asked the mayor of Hamburg to release as many of his companions as he could walk past after being beheaded. Following the granting of this request and the subsequent beheading, Störtebeker's body arose and walked past eleven of his men before the executioner tripped him with an out-stretched foot. Nevertheless, the eleven men were executed along with the others. The senate of Hamburg asked the executioner if he was not tired after all this, but he replied he could easily execute the whole of the senate as well. For this, he himself was sentenced to death and executed by the youngest member of the senate.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Störtebeker Only he is badass enough to stand up and walk several meters after having lost his head. I know this is a legend, but I like to think there is something true about it. Even if it's not true he still qualifies as a badass because he was a pirate. Just read his biography, that dude is meeean.
Where's Chuck Norris?

Trotsky. The man got an ice axe embedded into the back of his head, stood up, turned around, spat on his assailant and then wrestled him tot he ground. He was rushed to the hospital where he died a day later after surgery.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2445513/Royal-Marine-who-jumped-on-grenade-awarded-George-Cross.html jumped on a grenade and walked away
And that one Soviet scientist I was reading about who operated on himself without anesthetic in Antartica.
"A man cut off his own head with a chainsaw after stabbing his 70-year-old father to death in their apartment in the German city of Cologne, police said." Ignoring the fact he killed his father, he cut his own head off with a chainsaw. "The body of the offender, 24, was found headless when police" Fully cut his head off, that's got to be badass. http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2007/05/09/1178390349892.html?from=top5 This guy too, "Astonishingly Mr Roskov, 22, survived and managed to stagger back upstairs with barely a scratch after the 50ft fall. But while his wife called for an ambulance and began to scold him, he jumped again. Amazed medics treated Mr Roskov for minor cuts and bruises before releasing him."
