Max being Max
Poor Max, he makes stuff in 3D but his mind only sees in 1D. Such a shame to see someone capable to explore and produce decent content but lack such when seeing conflicts.
What does he actually, like, do, no way can somebody be such a chronically obsessive white knight
Before Gamergate he was a chronically obsessive stalker who dedicated an entire folder in his image hosting site to negative comments about him and straight up lying about the use of his google alerts (he claims it was because someone was trying to upload doxx, which would be fine if he hadn't used the username he's commonly known by in the fishnet)
That and he has a thing hardon for strawman comics and name-calling (it's ok if he does it!) and being a blatant misogynist to any women who aren't feminists- he follows and has made positive posts about a parody twitter feed called "womenagainstfeminism" which depicts anti-feminist women as stupid and deserving of mistreatment alongside the typical "internalized misogyny" bullshit that every male feminist tries to push as a real thing to silence women.
i met max irl at dota 2 international (he had a workshop show about how to animate a dota 2 courier. it was funny)
seemed like a cool dude when he's not into his political bullshit
sadly thats what he mainly talks about 99% of the time i see him post/tweet.
I can't wait for the day when TB tells Jim Sterling to fuck off too.
Likely won't happen as TB seems to be more patient with people who don't give him shit. And as I've said Jim Sterling does not speak ill of other journalists. TB might say something eventually, but neither of them are going to act rudely to eachother.
If it were Angry Joe then I could see it happening, but he hasn't made the commitment that Jim has so he has no reason to act against TB in a significant manner.
Haha Max is a born and bred cultist.
I doubt it since I saw him one time talk about his mother being homophobic.
Yes, emphasis on mother because that's the only woman he talks bad about.
Did anyone else read Max's tweets in his own voice :v:

On that topic, Ryulongd once actually assisted me on something. He too, is a nice guy. But politically on Gamergate? Hes a bit screwie. But let it be known that he IS a genuinly nice guy and quite alot of the harassment he got over being banned on wikipedia I felt was underserved.

Hmm. A chink in the armor?

Cue Arthur Chu ranting about racial slurs.

I thought Max was cool at one point too.
But it turned out he's the guy who causes someone to go "Hey, psst, let's say we have to go now and just switch bars." when he drunkenly starts talking about his opinions in a bar.
He's an artistic and entertaining guy, but I've always found him to be an asshole that likes feeling superior in every given situation.
Now let's get back on topic without e-celeb'ing. This isn't Kotaku-in-Action guys.
I will chime in, that fucked up people can smile as nice as non fucked up people.
Like a corrupt politicians or serial killers the people around them always say, "he or she was so nice, they never gave off bad vibes".
I can't believe how incredibly ignorant this statement is though. I mean, holy crap. Talk about instability.
Remember kids, you're not allowed to disagree with any woman's opinion, except those who disagree with your personal views and therefore are clearly overwhelmed with internalised misogyny!
internalised misogyny
I see people throwing that sentence around in a non-sarcastic manner more than candy being thrown at kids on Halloween.
I see people throwing that sentence around in a non-sarcastic manner more than candy being thrown at kids on Halloween.
I think women certainly can be misogynist, but that's when they say things like "Yeah, I agree that all women should just be housewives/ shouldn't be able to run as politicians" rather than "I don't 100% agree with every aspect of third-wave feminist ideology".
[editline]28th February 2015[/editline]
And it's not 'internalised misogyny' in the same way that it's not 'reverse racism'. You don't need an adjective there because the definition of the word doesn't restrict it in the first place.

Also how bullies parents and friends act when they are called out on it.
bahahahaha, that's hilarious. if anyone remembers insomnia.ac (i think it's called vg.culture or culture.vg or some shit now) the head admin of that has a thread where he posts every time someone talks about him. it's so bizarrely funny watching how obsessed he is with other people's thoughts on him and it's the same thing here
To be fair I have one too, but for (various variations of) my real name.
My handle is far too common for that though, which is a good thing imo.
In any case, it doesn't detect images, so as long as he's not in the URL I doubt will notice.
(If he does then that would mean he'd be actually reading this thread but still not getting the whole thing, which I still put beyond him.)
Did anyone else read Max's tweets in his own voice :v:
It's great though. I love those videos of him reading some fanfic(?).
So what is the TL;DR for the last 3 days?

Wrong URL (as should be obvious from the "no other snapshots from this url" blurb).
It's still up as of now.

you're welcome.
Hey...you know how Visa/MasterCard got PayPal to fuck with MEGA? Could we attempt to get them to do the same thing with Gawker and co. by looking for some technicalities?

Seems like dirty tactics to me.
Besides I think they deal directly with their advertising partners.
Seems like dirty tactics to me.

Dirty, possibly, but in the process, people would realize "hey, why are we letting an effective duopoly control money flow" as well. Two birds, one stone.
What use does Gawker have for PayPal or credit card processing on its site? Do they have a premium subscription or take donations? I don't know because it's been ages since I've gone to any of their sites.
Mega charged for accounts for arguably dubious reasons (given Kim's history with file hosting), but unless Gawker is processing payments there isn't even anything to attack on technicalities.
Denying them views and ad revenue and complaining to their advertisers for associating with such a toxic brand is doing quite enough already.
What use does Gawker have for PayPal or credit card processing on its site?
Not on the site: to get paid by the advertisers. If the advertisers can't pay them in the first place, they get no $$$.

I'm sure their advertising invoice system is more robust than sending out requests to pay via Paypal, even for retarded shitbeans like Gawker.
If I'm wrong, I'll be laughing too hard to care.

Hence why I mentioned Visa/MasterCard too.
i would run the idea by 8chan to see if they wanna pick it up and run with it
