i dont get it
Godda streach that joke to the verry limit.
its not just the joke. check the badge of the person on the right. apparently the ribbons are a georgia tech professor's: https://twitter.com/OppressedFart/status/573119954456879106 who is also a part of IGDA and DIGRA. he wrote this: http://bogost.com/writing/videogames_are_a_mess/
I think it's one of those photoshopped parodies, like "GAMERGATE IS GREAT!"
Apparently Brianna Wu backpedals.
AGG's logic is retarded. According to them agreeing with someone on a particular point amounts to agreeing with all of their opinions? If that were true then defending animals' rights would imply you support gassing the Jews! How can they not see how much of a fallacy it is? Are they really this delusional?
Those badge tags are "using the colors of rape" or something.
Ech, ethics jokes about the ribbon industry are really inappropriate because the ribbon industry is an extension of the oil industry which supports colonialism and terrorism too. :~)
katherine kross of fem freq, if you remember her, had coffee with wu and told wu that she is a leader in the anti-gg movement and everything falls on her. that sounds like some cult leader to cult member reasoning to me, scarily enough. i think wu is just a mentally unstable person wrapped up in something that is suddenly very scary to her. she is very easily manipulated, and she's being manipulated to believe she has far more responsibility as a "leader" of the "movement" that is anti-gamergate. even though it's just a set of opinions that you should be able to change and grow out of or into based on experiences and choices... and not an exclusive club of some kind. this should be funny but its just fucked up.
Guys, I'm no McIntosh fan, but you're basically using your own ignorance of critical theory to mock him. All he's saying, in his usual wordy bullshit way, is that a cultural critic cares about what a work means in the context of society, not its internal logic. If, say, Hollywood was only producing war movies, a cultural critic might say that women are under-represented in the film industry. Not because he feels there should be women storming the beaches at D-Day, but because the industry is only producing a certain kind of film that only features men, and so men are disproportionately represented. It's up to the critic to then go somewhere with this analysis, and it doesn't have to be 'this is bad and misogynistic', that's just what the extremists conclude. The point he's making is that 'but it's about D-Day, of course there are no women' is fundamentally misunderstanding the criticism, his criticism is about the industry as a whole and using individual games is to point out examples indicative of a trend, not try to hold them all accountable to unreasonable standards. This is a pretty established kind of criticism in film, it's not all SJW nonsense, even though it's a tool they abuse. The vast majority of cultural critics are really not as insane as McIntosh and his ilk might lead you to believe, even industry stalwarts like Roger Ebert have used this lens to talk about films.
I agree with you except for one part that essentially throws the whole issue out of the window (both his and, by extension, your point): If you continue with the analogy, these people are directly criticising the "films" and not all all the industry surrounding them. That means they are saying "[D-Day [in particular] is bad and misogynistic because there are no women in it, regardless of what the setting is like in reality.]". McIntosh is particularly guilty of this, so while he may here talk about a different context where critical theory is actually applied to the right target, saying this still makes him a hypocrite in either case. [editline]4th March 2015[/editline]
AGG's logic is retarded. According to them agreeing with someone on a particular point amounts to agreeing with all of their opinions? If that were true then defending animals' rights would imply you support gassing the Jews! How can they not see how much of a fallacy it is? Are they really this delusional?
The problem is even a lot of people in general think like that. It's why there is so much personality cult going on in politics. [editline]4th March 2015[/editline]
[...] this should be funny but its just fucked up.
It is, but Wu herself is already pretty abusive on her own so I doubt she was manipulated into the whole issue. Remember that a company already got a restraining order on her years ago, and that hardly happens for nothing. That said, Cross is pretty good at what she does. (In fact she's ironically so good that she can't leverage "clickbait" since her writing is on a level that's most likely not quite mass-friendly anymore.) I think it would be extremely easy for her to manipulate Wu, and it's very likely she can see the fallout dropping Wu after all that media coverage would cause because she doesn't appear to be blinded by ideology like a lot of other prominent figures. (Nonetheless she heavily runs the "[It's all misogyny.]" line on Twitter. I think the reason she has to protect the less skilful actors in this is that she herself can't actually "push" the narrative, just support it, because not telling lies waters it down so much it's not news material anymore.)

Are they really this delusional?
Because it's not "logic", what they care about is the ideology and advancing it, anything that goes against that, regardless of how logical or reasonable it might be, still makes it a bad thing. This is why you continuously see them shrug off evidence continuously lie no matter how many times they are proven wrong. When your tactics revolve around demonizing people, any sort of agreement or even giving the benefit of the doubt gives credibility to the "enemy", endangering the ideology. Just another day in the social justice cult, everyone.
Just look at that cognitive dissonance.
Or perhaps saying whatever seems most beneficial/profitable at the moment
So is AGG still going against Wu or are they coming back to her? Kinda hard to tell.
Good news everyone, GamerGhazi thinks we're as bad as 4chan, defualt subreddits, and anti-Something Awful website Something Sensitive! But it's nowhere near the level of SS, *chan, default subreddits, or Facepunch.
I think we should wear Guy Fawkes masks, call each other fags, post DAE karmabait threads that get 4,000 upvotes, and doxx a troon (SS speak for transgender) SA moderator in celebration.

Sarah Palin was pregnant once but wasn't typical which happens, and I know plenty of people who fluctuate with weight. Either or, it doesn't matter.
finally we've achieved something ok boys lets pack up and go home, not sure we can outdo ourselves here

Sarah Palin was pregnant once but wasn't typical which happens, and I know plenty of people who fluctuate with weight. Either or, it doesn't matter.
The funny thing is that the site linked, Something Sensitive, is not a fan of Gamergate. They dislike pro-Gamergate people for being huge nerds, but loathe extremist SJ-types. They don't care about gaming; all they want is to see extremist social justice people get humiliated and make total morons of theselves, which GG really helps facilitate. Their line of thought is "Gamergaters are annoying beta nerds, but they're pissing off losers like Anita and Brianna and not falling for bait we set out, so all the power to them".
Recently, a man made a video of himself wearing a skull mask and outlining plans to murder me, then uploaded it to YouTube. A skull mask man was included in the recent Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode inspired by Gamergate, where an apparent character amalgamation of me, Zoe Quinn, and Anita Sarkeesian is kidnapped and sexually assaulted, then quits game development. Now, in the real world, we get copycat death threats by gamers wearing skull masks.
Wu is still afraid of death threats by fictional characters and believes she was raped by proxy in the SVU episode, apparently. Keep milking that victim image, Brianna.
Time to fire up RPG Maker XP and make a GamerGate RPG. Each forum ect would be a kingdom. Finally, FP kingdom emerges on a lonely mountain
Time to fire up RPG Maker XP and make a GamerGate RPG. Each forum ect would be a kingdom. Finally, FP kingdom emerges on a lonely mountain
A GG-themed Crusader Kings 2 mod would be glorious. Lead Facepunch, 8chan, and KotakuinAction into estalishing a pro-gamer dynasty while avoiding attacks from the Kingdom of McIntosh, the Duchy of Wu, 4chan's cuckold archers, cannon fodder from Polygon, and warriors from Kotaku. Don't provoke Something Awful too much, or the regent of Incapable leader/local ambien addict Lowtax will send 30 year old male virgin white knights at you!
Here is an announcement that came from Zoe Quinn's GDC panel: With Randi Harper history, I have a bad feeling that her definition of 'abuse prevention' is do get rid of anyone on twitter that disagrees with her. EDIT: Looks like several companies are already working with her, according to her:

It's amazing how high they're building themselves up with all this stuff when it's only just going to make them crash down harder when the tide finally turns. (and depending on whether or not AGG is still angry at Wu that time may be coming soon)

(and depending on whether or not AGG is still angry at Wu that time may be coming soon)
I get the feeling GG is going to get to the point where it'll be nearly impossible to have any sort of communication with anti-GGers on Twitter because of the autoblock tools they have. If you thought pro-GG and anti-GG were two seperate worlds before, just wait until they've blocked anyone, from random Twitter users with the dreaded egg avatar to professors and professional journalists, because of one thing they've said or one person they follow.
Question where the hell are people talking about Anita being pregnant?Where is this ammo coming from?Is the answer nowhere?
