Is this person advocating the whitewashing of movies about racism? Whilst complaining that we're whitewashing a celebrity who has allegedly been racist?
God, let's just arrest Arnie for millions of counts of attempted murder if we're going to say that anything an actor does in a movie is something they want to do in real life.
[editline]18th January 2015[/editline]
I really can't stand Adam Baldwin and I'm glad we don't really look to him for opinions about Gamergate any more. This person is so out-of-date, I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw a GG person even mention Baldwin apart from if he was brought up by somebody else.
Looks like people have found something interesting about the ABC comments issue.
Looks like this could be the result of AGG mass reporting as spam, and not ABC's doing.

I think he/she is just attempting to save face after realizing they said something really, really stupid.
Lizardsquad got hacked, every IP that was targeted and the passwords, usernames, emails, of the people that bought the DDoS is there.
Is this real life

It is just fantasy
endgame
This is almost totally political now; there is no nor will there ever be an endgame; simply shifting goalposts until the public tires of the tirades and begins actively ignoring them and shunning them, none of that will stop the noise.
McCarthyism didn't end when Joe made a complete idiot of himself on national television, it just became more and more marginalized until it was no longer relevant; the same doesn't apply here because they refuse to go into a direct debate about the issue, instead relying on tumblr and twitter and media contacts to do the work for them.
Marketing companies now are pretty much 100% staffed by sjws, who have learned since college day one how to insinuate, wheedle, pressure and cajole people into getting what they want, and the marketing departments control most AAA development now, right down to getting the lion's share of the budget.
win
It's really easy to do if you have spine and willpower.
Dead simple.

Stop supporting people who do not support you.

Period.
Not conditionally, not sporadically, not wishy-washily but ohnoes my favorite game series, but unilaterally.
Stop buying UBI/BioWare/riot games, even the pretty "indie" one with omg multicel shaded hoozles and vector rasterized polygonads.
Stop.
Fucking.
Buying.
Them.
Stop buying them, stop going to movies and watching tv shows with made and supported by people you know to be assholes, and stop giving them time and energy on your internet and phone
Give your time and money to people whom genuinely deserve it, to people that create things for the joy of sharing and creation and the invitation of fun or to be made to actually consider a concept and all of its ramifications.
Stop buying and giving attention to things driven by agendas, and this includes youtube and twitter.

What the fuck are you going to do now Wikipedia? Etc.
The comments were flagged as spam by users, ABC seems to have not unflagged them though.
(If you log out they are still getting slammed for their bias left and right in the comments.)
Apparently the ones deleted on their site may have had links.
In any case it doesn't excuse their awful reporting (with one person opposing Sarkeesian but no mention of the harassment flung the other way).
[editline]18th January 2015[/editline]
Just realized something, if we lose then a lot of Game Devs will realize SJW mean business, meaning a lot of games could get reworked and censored since it triggers them. Also they could get onto the Classification board and censor other games, and we would lose a lot of Japanese games since they don't care about it "triggering" them.
I doubt that much would happen. A lot of the people opposing GG aren't gamers at all.
[editline]18th January 2015[/editline]
What I wonder is, what'll happen when we win? The SJW crowd absolutely won't be silent in 'defeat', mainstream media won't ever go back on their opinions and statements, and even if the corrupt journalists are fired more will take their place. Is the best-case scenario all of this being swept under the rug, except for a few disclosure policy changes? Will we just refer back to it in future scandals?
Considering they can't really do anything when they stop getting publicity the media just dropping it and anything they say would be a best case scenario.
We'd effectively completely get rid of them, while they flay around ineffectually in their tiny hugbox.
Friend told me to look at the tumblr results for 8chan, i usually don't visit there but i found this by peter coffin. Not sure if i linked it correcttly its a pain in the ass to actually link to a specific post.
http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/8chan
Because 8chan is definitely the lawful evil of the internet.
It's all over the place.
/baphomet/ is definitely chaotic evil.
/gamergate/ appears to be neutral good, with a good tendency to deviate a bit.
/b/ is /b/...
8chan itself seems to be some really weird version of true neutral.
Tumblr's interface is all kinds of terrible.
You can get the direct link by pointing at the top-right corner of a post, but only in the default-styled overview lists.
There's no visual indication this is possible before you find it via mouse-over.
Othewise you can click the "[x] notes" link and delete the #comments part from the url.
The idea of triumphant over an entertainment platform leads to their voice being recognized while standing the moral high-ground which will be harder to argue against. What they would advocate for is the censorship of videogames or the certain appeal of videogames that wouldn't be profitable. The only people who will have the ability to resist are the big-wigs of EA, Activision, Blizz, Etc. The smaller one's will then be derided as racist/homophobic/misogynist if they do not conform.
When they win, they'll be more encouraged to expand their platform, and they'll be able to put in a base where they can officially collaborate with one another instead of Tumblr & various spokespersons.
Anti-GG, for all it's worth, sets very grounded and realistic goals that, once attained, won't be pushed any farther. Which is Journalism Integrity and washing the board to show we aren't as despicable as some people claim.
GG has put themselves in a very vague goal, wherein they can push it forward or pull it back to suit their needs, there is no stopping.
Imho.
[emphasis mine]
This looks like a mix up. Do you mean anti-gamers and gamers?
Well it is pretty clear that Juju Chang is Anti-GG from her twitter feed:

She posted a view other things on twitter as well, like an article from Newsweek that claims "harassment is more active than ethics" in the Gamergate hashtag.

Ah yes I saw that. The article that proves through statistics that gamergate is a hate campaign by showing that out of 2 million tweets less than 1% was directed towards the LWho's, and about 5% of that 1% were "negative tweets"
I'll give them that, #Gamergate is 0.05% about harrassment
For those that missed it, you couldn't make this shit up: https://archive.today/0LgnJ

It's even more proof that the anti-gamers have a serious lack of reading comprehension.
Hell, I'm pretty sure that Newsweek thing got debunked way back at the beginning of all this BS, which means it's not only wrong, but horribly outdated, too.
Something is happening involving 8chan and 4chan
Nobody but Hotwheels knows what's happening
http://8ch.net/v/res/1794415.html
From what I can gather, HW got E-mails and messages from "4chan, LLC Volunteer Moderator" with links to images on 4chan's janitor board, and he's trying to contact Moot about it.

OP has a link to a mega that's supposed to have all the leaked info and there's a bunch of funny crap on that thread like how the email used for the 8chan ddos's has a phone number linked to it (which only google has access too) and then a different guy used his phone number as a password. and there's a guy with username teridax.

I get such a kick out of 4/8/whateverchan losing its mind over something.

I know we have at least one smart person here, can someone confirm that?
It could just be a false positive. I'm using NOD32 and Malwarebytes, and I'm not getting any issues with the site.
It could just be a false positive. I'm using NOD32 and Malwarebytes, and I'm not getting any issues with the site.
I'm using this same setup and I got nothing either. Malwarebytes usually blocks and alerts suspicious shit pretty well too.
If this is true, wouldn't Zoe be breaking the law big time?

That CAN'T be legal can it?
Like, seriously they wouldn't consider such a stupid thing? Wouldn't the people doxxed begin raising absolute hell in court? I can't see a way they can do that without massive amounts of shit being thrown in retaliation.
Yes she would be. I can only think of one reason why some people are getting malware alerts. Their protection doesn't like the domain registrar or the webhost. I've never heard of their registrar until I heard about the site, and dreamhost is well... dreamhost.
I don't think they'd be that stupid, especially since lots of AGG supporters would be visiting the site as well and there'd be literally no way to distinguish the incoming traffic. There's also not that much you can do in the way of a 'mass dox' with thousands of generic IP addresses. Either the tumblr post is rusing us (my antivirus didn't do anything) or like Zet said it's their registrar.

Hmm.
My IP hails from the campus of France's top engineering and management school. A lot of influential people are part of the directing department and may take the issue seriously if I were to report a doxxing on my person.
Not that I have a choice, anyway, I already visited the site.
put down the tinfoil hats please, no-one's getting doxxed by visiting a webpage
plus it has literally no scripts running which aren't fully visible and moderately understandable. there's nothing there that would suggest foul play, the only out of the ordinary thing is either the google analytics tracker (which actually supports and honors do not track so) and the awful, awful multiple javascript 1-liners which all override document.onReady() on different <script> blocks to initialize a different plugin or whatnot.
(security addendum: they are logging your access I believe - like any website does - , but they only have what your browser sends them, which is very little, so rest easy)
it's safe

They can distinguish traffic by the referral, unless the link is from a service that kills the referrer.
Crash Override sounds like a video game title.
Hell even the site LOOKS LIKE ONE DESIGNED TO PROMOTE IT.

Yeah that's [The website being for a mass dox] definitely bullshit. Anybody who looked at that and thought "It must be right!" Is listening and believing, not bloody researching first.

Isn't Crash Override the nickname of the main character of Hackers?
Yep, just checked
That would be fucking hilarious if they took the name from Hackers of all things.
