Nope.
He's been like this since '06, but its been getting worse and worse.
He actually sent a man to Israel in search of Tupac Shakur, and told him to use a pencil crossbow to eliminate the Prime Minister.
he's legit.

It's basically a no win for GG, no matter what we do you KNOW she's going to twist anything to suit her agenda.
I'm going to miss WoW Insider
Okay not to beat a dead horse but I finally worked up the nerve to try to read the gamergate wiki article.
Let me start off by saying that I'm not particularly into GG. I like to read a lot of articles on wikipedia (english) just to learn stuff and have been doing it since probably about 2009.
That was by far one of the worst articles I have ever seen on wikipedia that wasn't something vandalized or a gimmick. It was mainly "those gamergaters claim" followed by "(insert toxic journalist) said they are wrong so it must be true. citation. done."
Look I can understand not giving two shits about gamergate or ethics or whatever, but that was the wiki article equivalent of a kangaroo court. I consider my self pro-social justice on most topics, but this is outrageous.
nah. the fundamental problem with gearbox is money management and shady practices, not one shitty writer. and they'll keep doing shit like they did with colonial marines funding being put into more borderlands trash (which ended up being super unethical and a little illegal) and fucking over SEGA/other companies. all they have is borderlands and theyve still had reviews done by friends of the people working within company.
Martel and Pitchford are salesmen first and gamemakers second, period. Behind the always sunny smiles and perpetual peppy attitude (seriously, randy is a scary guy sometimes) are total sharks that will pretty much do whatever it takes to keep the GBX family intact and and in the black.
They didn't stay indie this long by playing nice.

The fact that Alexander said exactly this with a straight face on national television while I was standing next to three gainfully and happily employed women just boggles the fucking mind.

With regards to this:
If you ever feel like you want to get into Gamergate, don't worry about this part. The media paints us all as ultra-conservatives, but actually I've seen extremely varied political views from GGers. I've even had debates/ discussions with some of them in this thread (I'm also fairly SJ-y). I can understand that you might want to steer clear of Gamergate stuff for now, but if the mood ever strikes you then don't be afraid to be a social justice GGer.

Half expecting her to report you for spam and then say nobody warned her. It sounds utterly ridiculous but honestly, I wouldn't be that shocked by Wu any more.

I'm not antigg by any stretch of the imagination. I posted here a few times before. I just don't keep up with it that much and really the only person whos word I trust on the topic (as far as professionals go) is Total Biscuit. I never go on tumblr or twitter and I noticed some similarities between my views and the views of a lot of people on the agg side. Plus the fact for a while their the big voices for gg was Milo, KOP, and IA (and to an extent that sargon guy who seemed odd to me).
I don't think GG is or should become something that is anti social justice. Honestly if the people on the agg side faced what gg faces in the pr battle from right wing or hate groups, they would hate it. Its like a big game of us vs them and they don't realize why people call them social justice warrior mockingly. Using blocklists, harrasment, doxxing, and wielding media power like a club against someone is something I'm sure they would hate if it happened to them. Why is it a girl who gets harassed for cosplaying as something they dislike not even make a blip on their radar compared to someone uses social justice for almost purely material gain like Wu. Or why is someone who criticizes you deserve to die from cancer.
I'm not trying to say its some social justice conspiracy, but there are a lot of misguided people in the world that's for sure.
Angry Joe's video is out:

Going to watch it later tonight, but it seems some anti-GG people are mad in the comments.

Wait, didn't she say she's in France? I mean, I know we all joked that she was probably lying about being there, but if she is, she isn't in any threat, is she?
And if she was lying, and this turns into a shitstorm where she goes "nobody warned me!", the only thing we can really say is "you said you were in France".

I'm laughing because PewDiePie is far more offensive than what TotalBiscuit puts out if he does put anything out. I don't think I need to explain why, everyone already knows why.
I wonder if Ian realizes this.
I can't even imagine the comments section.
Hope hes done his research on all of those topics, I doubt it, but maybe.
Here I go.

Also, really? The 'darkest timeline' is one where a guy who makes gaming videos for tween/young teen audiences is really popular? He delved into a relatively untapped market and made it big. It's about as shocking as Naruto being successful.

I totally respect his opinion on GG. He doesn't want anything to do with it and states that stupid shit has been done on both sides of the fence, which is absolutley true.
I have a feeling though, that he is going to get a lot of shit from anti-gg for not hating the GG movement... not that he won't get shit from some crazy GG person, but I just think it's going to be worst from the anti side.
It's kind of a good video, but his points where he says people call people "not gamers" for not identifying with the tag - I have never seen that, EVER.
He tries to look at "where it started" - looking at the trigger, but not at what might have possibly caused it before. He clearly doesn't understand why it "blew up." It's been anger that has been rising over the years - not because one female dev slept with somebody. If I haven't already been noticing this trend of basically batshit insane "journalists" I wouldn't have gave a damn about any of this.
Also his point of "Don't stay with the hastag" - or "The movement is shrinking"
This thread is basically proof against that - discussion is possible without the hashtag, furthermore this thread shows a trend of being more popular then it ever was before. The hashtag is a way to group up - nobody would care if we called it something else.
Otherwise I agree with the rest of his video, there are some points I am like "Uh..." on and I am sure I could deconstruct it point by point but the major things are above and otherwise it's a good watch - good test of your ability to take criticism and listen - it's neutral, got some bad points, got some good ones. Particularly the one where people focus (you people) on "SJW's" WAY TOO much. They exist, yeah. But the shit like "IS THE GUYS WIFE REAL?" is just bullshit and if you partake in discussions like that you should start a conspiracy thread and see how far that gets you.
Otherwise hopefully the video will help people understand whats going on, a little bit. Although, people will have to do their own research to understand it more fully, I certainty wouldn't point people to this video. I have a feeling hes going to get a lot more shit from anti-gg then gg is, though.

some people in gg do it to anti-gg people
they call them "antigamers" because anti-gg called gamers dead

I only call people that who don't play games/have very limited knowledge about games (They played one game.) It's not that they aren't gamers - they not playing games for the enjoyment of them, rather the criticism of them. I'm not sure if other people use it that way, but that's what I think when people call others that.
A lot of us here in Puerto Rico are ashamed at how some people have behaved in regards of the GamerGate situation. We members of IGDA Puerto Rico just got this message out of the blue.
" Yours sincerely on behalf of all members of the board of the IGDA chapter in Puerto Rico .
As you know, after a great effort last year and a half ago , the first professional IGDA chapter opened in Puerto Rico . Has long been the effort on the way to professionalize our field through this chapter, and along the way we also learned more about the IGDA , you need our community and ourselves . We understand that our job is to work for the collective good , the difference in the industry and promote the growth of professional designing and creating video games on the island.
In our lessons we have learned that we lack the structure required to achieve this agenda. The needs of our emerging industry are as unique island protocols of an international chapter unfortunately not go far enough to make the goals. We recognize that there is much to learn to responsibly handle these needs again.
For this reason we have decided , unanimously , to close the chapter of Puerto Rico . Since this decision was communicated to the central board of the IGDA in the United States and administrative processes are conducting closing.
We greatly appreciate the support and hope to have it in future projects."

some people in gg do it to anti-gg people

Eliminating the gamer identity is straight up their objective. When the Gamers are dead articles came out they accused the identity of being ignorant dude-bros, claiming it wasn't inclusive and toxic. They disagree with the established gamers and want agenda pushers to be the new ones. They are Anti-Gaming, they want games to never be offensive, fit their narratives, and agree with them.
Plus it's the name of scandal. The scandal was the exposure of the corrupt journalists. Gamergate is them. Not us, that doesn't make any sense, when have you heard of someone being Anti-Watergate or Pro-9/11. Events are not groups of people.
Calling yourself Gamergate is straight up playing into their hands, Gamergate isn't an identity it's their fuck up and now we're playing into their narrative that Gamergate is actually just a group of people.
