considering what the AGG crowd has been known to do to people who show any signs of supporting gamergate, I think BroTeam has very good reasons to be doing what they're doing.
One thing's certain, he got really scared. I think I'd go for desperate measures too if there was a very real possibility of getting a police to show up and fuck you up.

If that was his reasoning then he wouldn't have made so many posts making fun of AGG in the first place.
I still think the reason is something more petty.
he basically doesnt lose
I'd consider almost everyone, including former fans, thinking he's an asshole "losing"
Fairly certain that Broteam is in the green legally regarding this. It's not protected under law what Angry Joe did.
And honestly I'm too busy laughing at the situation to really give a shit what the outcome is.
Am I right in thinking that trademarks aren't automatic unlike copyright? If so, I don't really think he has a case.
I don't think he would've gone out of his way to get a registration though, since that stuff costs $$$.

It really doesn't lol

It's cheap as dirt. Even I could trademark a name depending on what it is.
I don't like how the word censorship is starting to being thrown around the same way SJW use misogyny on anything they don't like
You may think this is petty as hell but it doesn't make it censorship

I hope Rosario goes on to continue to help developers out after this. He seems like a really cool person.

He is currently unblocking everyone manually it seems. That's going to take a while.
I would have one concern with that.
Right now we have the unethical journalists and those pushing agendas on the same side. While it's slow, I think we are burning them significantly. They don't realize it yet so they are sticking together against Gamergate.
My concern is that if there is a significant enough blow, like PewDiePie joining in, we are going to buckle them too fast. The agenda pushers might then try co-opting Gamergate itself and stab the current crop of unethical journalists in the back. Essentially trying to further impose themselves onto future journalists in the field.
I don't know, I haven't read Sun Tzu's Art of Twitter yet.
That would work if it wasn't for a certain thing that offsets this whole topic from usual popular movements: I doubt anyone in #GG cares about identity politics or "allies".
Since this is remix culture it's ridiculously difficult to co-opt an idea. Yiannopoulos already tried that with his anti-left stance and it did pretty much nothing at all to sway people.
Also, unlike the "journos" they can use to skew the reporting about themselves, anyone else involved would immediately nuke them out of relevance for lying.
The only way their agenda could work here is with actual merit, which would be fine.
(The only issue would be if the PewDiePie fangirls were to group up under #GG too, but I doubt that would happen.
Since this whole thing is pretty linked to 8chan they'd most like encounter certain boards and be turned off immediately if they were to consider it at all.)
People are getting angry as fuck at Broteam over this and even going as far as boycotting him and saying he is no different than Anita Sarkeesian/Zoe Quinn. Angry Joe didn't do basic research and did not communicate with Broteam over adding an annotation. Even sillier, BT removed the claim and resolved the conflict, but people are still dragging him through the mud without looking at the event as a whole.
By people, I mean KiA.
Until the video is back up, I am going to doubt Broteam actually removed the claim.
it doesn't bother me because I've been following him for years and he doesn't give a shit about internet drama but people need to stop getting involved in everything even tangentially remotely related to any mention of gamergate
Let the people involved sort it without uninvolved people shitting all over the place and making it a bigger deal than it needs to be
Kotakuinaction is getting mad at him to prove people that they don't support """censorship,""" and police prominent GG'ers.
The whole thing is dumb anyways, over a stupid logo? Who cares, your not going to declared a harasser because your logo is barely visible for a couple seconds on a video.
I disagree with broteampills takedown, I don't necessarily agree with Kotakuinactions hasty actions and statements, they are fueling petty internet drama.
[editline]a[/editline]
Also it doesn't fucking help when joe will only respond to people who support broteam pill with quotes such as
Why do all of you guys that say that type of shit all happen to have the same looking Avatars. Without fail. Creepy pattern.
Broteam made the absolutely wrong decision here, and is just going to cause bad things.

aGGer are fucking vicious. He doesn't want his YT comments and stream chat devolving to GG stuff.
Hell, hes going to get fucked now anyways, since both sides have a lot of users going ITS US OR THEM mentality

He made that choice when he jumped into GG stuff LONG ago. Hes was seriously tweeting quinnspiracy stuff very heavily at one point, suddenly not wanting to talk about it (really randomly, by the way.) Just feels like he disagree's with the videos content (which probably isn't true,) he should have said beforehand that he didn't want to associate with any internet drama earlier. Otherwise he literally just doesn't want to appear in the video - taking it down after 5 hours of no response is stupid.

You mean the stuff at the beginning, when there wasn't everyone getting attacked and dox'd? Yeah, a lot of people left after that, and I don't blame them, a lot of people don't want their life fucked up since some stupid fucker going LOL I AM GOING TO RUIN YOUR LIFE SINCE YOU DON'T BELIEVE WHAT I DO.

He was directly accusing Zoe Quinn of stuff unrelated to doxxing or threats, so that point kind of falls short.

Thing is, most aGGer wouldn't even have known about it, and, yes, I'm starting to think he was sort of a dick for the way he did it, but still, I get why he did that, he doesn't want someone as big as AngryJoe to have him shown as GG.
this broteam thing is the funniest thing I've seen all night.
apparently broteam isn't pro gg. I thought for sure he was, like extremely pro gg.
He's mostly here to just laugh at idiots, it's kinda what he does. Brotes' pretty chill about most things and just plays video games for money. It just so happens that a lot of AGG people aren't very good at spreading dumb shit said by pro-GG people so there's a lot less of that to laugh at. Making him look like he's picked a side.

BroTeams Twitter was one of the first places I saw Erons' post about Zoe pop up. He was also mostly interested in that because, holy shit, you could feel the future e-drama emanating from your monitor. That and it's kinda funny to him how Zoe was such a fuckup I think. He doesn't really want to be involved, but tons of pro-GG people started following him when he was just retweeting dumb shit he saw from anti-GG people on various sites.
gg and agg as a whole can feel like a soap opera about e-celebs you know what I'm sayin'

That's involving yourself enough from the opposition. There's nothing he can do to stop it and he should have realized that when spamming gamergate stuff.

Yeah, for someone who was knees deep in overt AGG mocking, Streisand Effecting yourself over your logo briefly being seen in clip of some image macro that's already been seen by everyone does't seem very logical to me.

It has been more quality entertainment than most of the shows they air on TV these days.
Every time you thought that you've seen it all, something else happens which causes people to spill more salt over it than Lot's wife.

He's not exactly the smartest person on the Internet, he gets drunk and streams Smite most of the time after all! Not too surprised he didn't think ahead much with the whole "I'll retweet funny things from a controversy."
kotakuinaction trying to push an e-celeb drama boycott gives you a pretty good idea as to where kia's priorities are. and they're not the important parts of #gamergate.
watching mundanematt jump on the dogpile was hilarious. you fucking bandwagoning cunt.
Okay, this isn't at all likely, but humour me for a moment.
Imagine if PewDiePie started supporting GamerGate.
He probably does but wont mix it in with his channel. You need to remember he was a pretty big 4chan/v/ guy for a while and thats where he got his start.
Hes too big to get political all of a sudden.

KiA has been shit for a few months now, its almost all drama and petty shit.
Joe's video is back.
KiA started as a sister subreddit of TumblrInAction and had the right ideas about the subject matter, but it devolved into a super-bandwagon for proving that they were better than the opposition. I honestly don't give a damn about Joe and think his videos are cringe-worthy viewbait just like The Nostalgia Critic's site.
It doesn't necessarily mean what BroTeam did was right, but goddamn, Gamergate has become a literal circus no matter how you look at it.
Things were going great the short period KiA didn't allow pointless drama threads but people had to whine about "censorship!!" because apparently only allowing threads that are relevant to gamergate's goal is censorship, so now KiA gets spammed with pointless shit and people throw bitch fits like this over nothing
I always liked using the 8chan board better.
