Speaking of SWATting, it appears that Izzy Galvez has been SWATted. Is this the first confirmed attempt to SWAT on an anti-GG person? https://twitter.com/iglvzx/status/554841443278147585
opps I thought you meant lizzyf620. shited my rating to late, not because you're late because I had a knee jurk reaction. it's to rate myself. I don't know the details of the what went down.

Think we could strap a fundraiser together to start a few programs together to get women and minorities more involved in game development, could show AGG how to actually fix issues instead of bitching on Twitter about their patreon. [editline]15th January 2015[/editline] As in start in middleschool or equivelent.

infinite chan twitter account suspended his alt twitter is: https://twitter.com/HW_BEAT_THAT [editline]15th January 2015[/editline]
infinite chan twitter account suspended
For what reason?
For what reason?
unknown would say its for posting the cloudflare emails, but anita did something similar and didn't get suspended.
unknown would say its for posting the cloudflare emails, but anita did something similar and didn't get suspended.
Would be a good thing if Twitter could be arsed to provide an explanation when they suspend someone.
unknown would say its for posting the cloudflare emails, but anita did something similar and didn't get suspended.
Probably AGG mass reporting his profile. Because it does look like Twitter's systems for suspending users seems automated, considering how often suspensions get landed for Pro-GG people for the tiniest of things while AGG gets to literally throw shit around. It is more and more apparent that AGG is really losing it over GG lasting this long, one of them was tweeting how GG is pure evil because Milo parodied some poetry that didn't have anything to do with GG at all. I think that they are desperately hanging on at every straw they can still find. Which apparently still works because there are still enough idiots thinking that whatever AGG sprouts is absolute truth.
Back up, though HW's personal twitter was a hilarious read
So, Hotline Miami 2 was refused rating in Australia (The developers said to pirate and to enjoy their game if you live in australia and enjoy it http://i.imgur.com/Z84eDVa.png ).
Wait so their solution to "Stopping misogyny and the patriarchy" is to essentially become puritans? Doesn't that seem a little off?
No. These people aren't egalitarian liberals. They're conservative capitalists with progressive political ties. The two concepts aren't remotely the same.
AGG has got to be one of modern history's most successful misinformation campaigns.
lol you need to read up a bit more on your history methinks

Wow, she had the fucking gall to call TB a "fake gamer boy". What the fucking fuck?
Sssshhhhhhh.... No one tell them about some of those adult-only Japanese games.

Man, TB just gets angrier and angrier as the days go past. I think this question has been discussed to death and back, but I don't believe I've even been presented with a game that is "misogynistic" or "sexist". Are there any games that do discriminate against women? Does the gameplay itself discriminate, or is it a story/lore element?

Unless you count games like Manhunt or Postal which the main objective is to be as shitty a person as possible. I hardly know of any games that actively encourage you to be a dick. I can think of several that give the opportunity, but its all in the player's choice. GTA is probably the most noticeable one. But if you mean a game that is straight misogynistic or sexist? I don't know, can't really think of one. If big tits is misogynistic then more than half the games released these days are guilty. That and square enix is literally hitler.

And even then, I think those are only limited to optional sidequests and not an actual part of it's "story".
The few games about rape that come to mind are Custers Revenge for the NES(nevermind atari 2600) and other crap from that era,or Monster Girl Quest. Custers Revenge is from the 80s and MGQ is you playing as a dude trying not to get raped by monsters.
Wow, she had the fucking gall to call TB a "fake gamer boy". What the fucking fuck?
Well, she'd know something about being fake afterall. But yeah that guy who plays videogames for a living? Totally fake, marginally less fake than a "Developer" who has only produced a shitty mobile game.
Man, TB just gets angrier and angrier as the days go past.
Well, props to the guy for trying to be moderate and calling for mediation as long as he has, he's just reached the point now where he's so tired of dealing with their shite that the gloves have come off.

They are more concerned with metaphorical hypothetical literal rape.

Are there any games that do discriminate against women? Does the gameplay itself discriminate, or is it a story/lore element?
it's story/lore essentially they're trying to levy the same criticisms against games that have been made against films and books in the past, that the female characters are largely underdeveloped in games. The difference being that there's not really much room for the real development of any characters in games, because games have to largely be about gameplay (IMO at least). Whereas books and films have much more emphasis on plot and characters. Because video game studies are a fairly new academic field a lot of people haven't clocked on that it's criteria as a medium for criticism is going to be a bit different from film or literature. Which is weird because it's already deeply established that the criteria for judging film and literature are completely different [editline]16th January 2015[/editline] like you wouldn't criticise a book for it's poor cinematography

The first game in a series lauded for its progressiveness. Heh heh, whoops!
the thing that confuses me about that complaint is that it implies the depiction of rape is inherently a bad thing Irreversible has a 10 minute long rape scene but it's good because it genuinely makes you feel sick. Sure if rape is trivialised that's not great unless it's part of a bigger creative direction but rape being present in media if it's handled properly can actually be very effective
Its honestly grasping at straws, meanwhile Chu does a stand up routine about gang raping someone but i guess he is above reproach. I honestly want to know the context behind that and if it actually happened,I dont give Chu much credit in the morality department and he may be egotistical enough to openly admit it and think there wont be consequences.
