You can literally just look it up, but it's a kind of life simulator for gmod. You get your own crib to customize and a currency in game that you can earn by playing games in the tower itself. It's totally free.
I hope there will still be blockles
It is so strange seeing such a rapid amount of progress and change in such a short amount of time. Lobby 2 released earlier this year, and now we are already hearing of a complete stand-alone game!
It's kinda emotional watching this game grow up from a 2009 babby to a 2015/2016 adult.
I wish nothing but the best for the whole Pixel Tail team.
Will there be a Dev HQ?
If anyone is willing to explain what Gmod tower is to me I'm really interested in whatever this is.
Wow this is like second life except 10000000x better.
As someone who knows nothing much about game engines (but a little about GMod Tower), why/how exactly is the game limited by Source?
Any predictions on Minimum specs?
I'd like to make this my first kickstart, but only if I have a guarantee of me able to start it up and run it properly, otherwise I'd just be paying to test a game I can't even run.

The main issue I keep hearing is that Source Engine has serious limitations on mapping.
Large-scale maps, such as Lobby 2 for Garry's Mod Tower have to go through so much sacrifice for the sake of being able to run because of the brush limits and the optimization issues that are rooted in the Source Engine.
Not to mention, there are continuous bugs that arise from updates to Garry's Mod that are completely out of the control of the dev team.
It's a shame that the GMT staff couldn't have waited until Source 2. Looks great anyways though and I backed it.
Eh screw it, I'm kickstarting it anyway since I trust the GMT guys, and it looks worth it enough.
And hey, my very first kickstarting too.
I pledged 15 dollars. Good luck and I hope this truly get's funded.
Pledged $20. Hoping to see the project succeed gloriously. Best of luck to PixelTail.
I hope it get's the first stretch goal. Kevan has such a lovely voice.
And as for the $150K goal, will there be any chance for Carnival games? I'm a sucker for those.
Ahh hell, Hopped in at the $100 level. It's unfortunate to put GMT behind, but I'm excited to see what ya'll are going to be able to do with UE4
You have my money.
Why didn't you allow Partial Funding? For something this large of an amount, i sure would have. Its really gonna suck if you guys get like 90,000-95,000 and it gets canned because of the "all or nothing" method currently selected.
Looks a lot like PS Home except not useless. Which is great because home's idea was great but sony dropped the ball hard.
You guys should hire Mr. Sunabouzu.
Pledged up $15.
Good luck with the development guys!
Oh man those stretch goals are some of the most appealing I've ever seen on kickstarter.
Will pledge as soon as I can. Hope this takes off.
I'll certainly miss Lobby 2, Source may be outdated as fuck but god damn it has such a special charm to it that will make it hard for me to let go. This seems like it'll be worth it though.
Pledged $5. Good luck, I can't wait to get the game on early access!
I want to get back into GMTower but its just too laggy to do anything here :/
Hopefully with this standalone there will be more servers
I hope some Minimum Specs are released, I doubt my toaster machine can run Unreal 4 properly.
Also I'm worried that this will mean Tower will die eventually. The main reason why GMTower was so popular was because it was accessible on a game many people on Steam had. Oh well, I guess the sales will have to help bring more people in.
I'll definitely try and back $15 (hopefully $25) soon though!
Threw $10, I trust you guys to do well. You've always delivered in the past.
Here, have $10
I LOOK FORWARD TO THIS
I remember a year or so ago when I bought VIP for this. The gamemode was amazing and it looks so much better using UE4. I give you guys all my hopes and if I wasn't trying to save all my money right now I would definitely contribute.
I expect great things!
Imma take a moment to ask about the one thing I hate about Gmod Tower.
For some reason, whether because of me, or because of how buggy Gmod is, It takes FOREVER to join a game. If it even joins at all, either I miss out on like 25%-50% of the game, or miss it out entirely.
It sucks mostly because it's the only way to make real money, and so I'm poor as hell because I can't join a game of Virus or something.
Sheesh, that goal is going to be hard to get to. Better start contacting game sites.
