I just pledged some too. Oh god we need more people to pledge. I really want this to happen (Also really good friends with one of the programmers)
I just backed $15. I am pretty excited for this game, but I really hope it's not a let down, a lot of mods that go to a standalone game have some trouble being a standalone game. I'm looking at you, DayZ. But it looks really cool, nonetheless.
Oh, and another thing: You need to do SOMETHING with the concept of Elevator: Source, probably one of my favorite HL mods out there. I remember getting kind of excited getting into the elevator on Lobby 2, only to be completely disappointed when I reached my destination without a surreal and horrific journey in-between.
I agree completely, and we're serious! Crazy shit happening in the elevator was one of the greatest features of the original Lobby :v:
It's been awhile since I played GMT but I enjoyed it. I always thought it was too much for Source, it's nice to see it move past old barriers. I'll be sure to donate to you guys within a couple weeks.
I've thrown $10 USD at it, golden name in credits, something to show to friends. I'm really tempted to upgrade to a higher one, but if I was to upgrade to, for example, the Co-op pack 4 player to bring friends onboard, would I still get the shiny gold name in the credits? Kickstarter is a confusing beast
If a lot of us were to twitter request particular celebrities/youtube personalities to cover Tower, they'd probably do it.
If a lot of us were to twitter request particular celebrities/youtube personalities to cover Tower, they'd probably do it.
Well I already did TB and Jesse, let's do it then!
Backed with $75. Might do more later.
I pledged 100 daaallaaaaz.
Dropped $10 on the project, first Kickstarter I've backed. Best of luck, fellas.
Thanks so much to everyone who's supporting us, we're off to a great start.
If for some reason the goal isn't met, how can I make sure you guys get the $75 that I put forward?
Yeah, if the Kickstarter fails, I'd love to show my support regardless.
This is gunna be good
It looks awesome, Gmod Tower is great so i might have to back this. It would be great if some version of Elevator: source was included as well.
As much as I love this project, I'm not sure if its gonna get funded another 85K in 25 days. I really hope it does though.
I will its a steady flow. As long as It doesn't slow down.
I will its a steady flow. As long as It doesn't slow down.
It needs around 3k a day though, at the moment it's not quite getting that.
It needs around 3k a day though, at the moment it's not quite getting that.
Which is why an Indiegogo with flexible funding would of worked better.
I can see why they went with the all or nothing approach. They need the money so that they can drop their jobs (and school?) to work on Unite. If they don't reach their goal but still receive a portion of their goal, then they still need to keep their jobs, since that portion won't cover their full costs of living.

We also answered a bunch of questions from our community. We'll be doing more casual Twitch Livestream Q&As every 3 days from now on. We'll be posting our schedule soon. You guys have signed up for an Unreal grant, right?
Hyped for this already, good luck to everyone involved in this. Can't wait for it!
Unfortunately at this rate it doesn't seem like it's going to be funded.
Unfortunately at this rate it doesn't seem like it's going to be funded.
The bad part of kickstarter that the most of the money either at the VERY start or at the very end of it. So don't be so shallow and unoptimistic.
So keep spreading the world and keep your chin up!
I dunno man, the world is kinda spread out enough as it is
Best of luck to them; it's gonna be kinda rough if they can't obtain enough funding equivalent to the salary of a single software engineer. It looks like they're behind by a few grand by now.
The bad part of kickstarter that the most of the money either at the VERY start or at the very end of it. So don't be so shallow and unoptimistic.
It didn't get much money at the start and if it doesn't have a fairly good amount towards the end, that's going to make people less likely to back it.
The problem with contacting youtubers about this is they tend to only cover it if they actually have some (even if it is really small ) gameplay to go by. News sites will probably put your video up and write a short article about it. If I were you guys, I'd go about contacting the yogscast since they got a load of players to tower with their video.
I don't think this will reach it's goal I still think indiegogo flexible is a better option nowadays.
