Just in case anyone didn't catch the streams:

Also, apparently EatMyDiction1 got to play something from Unite. I'm guessing it was a sample of Ball Race, but I don't really know. Hopefully he publishes a video of it soon.
There is simply not enough sites reporting on it. They need to market harder. Two weeks now, only two weeks left, only 18,000 dollars in.
Unless they can get something out there, they won't stand a chance.
Also if the kickstarter fails GMtower is still being shutdown.

I'm not sure what to think about that, this game does look far better but one of the great things about GMT is that it's free. There's also lots of references to other games (Playermodels and things like that) which can't really be done with this. I'm not sure this will be as popular.

Yeah in GMT I can be a TRON character wearing pink glasses and an afro and have a pet melon named "fuck C.L.U." but it won't be possible in TUnite. I will probably miss the models of characters from other games/shows/whatever the most.
It actually will be possible through community contributions in the form of mods. I have no doubt that people will host their own modded servers that bring back old playermodels from GMT. In fact, models that a lot of people want but were rejected from GMT will now be possible in Unite through community servers.
Is there any confirmation on what will happen if it fails, aside from GMtower shutting down, I mean are they going to give Indiegogo a chance or will they be calling it quits?
I can't say if they will try other forms of crowd funding, but they won't call it quits with their project. It will just take a huge toll on the development process since they need to continue their school work and jobs.
MacDGuy got a chance to have an interview with a YouTube/Gmod celebrity.
Keep your heads up for that video in the upcoming few days.
Not having much hope for the Kickstarter, around 35% time left, [del]not even 20% of funding.[/del]
Already put a fairly hefty donation, but this is looking worse every day.

Well, the situation has gotten better, but I'm still quite worried about this kickstarter.
Does Tower Unite have a thread in General Games Discussion? It would do well to get a thread going in there and spark the community to actually get involved.
Here's that interview I was talking about

Yeesh, the comments are critical. Half of them aren't even accurate too
Ten days left and only 20% of the goal reached... things are looking grim, unfortunately.

Definitely picked up speed since the Bo Schitt interview, but It's still nowhere near fast enough, it needs to get about $8,000 a day to reach $100,000 and if it's this far out, it won't get the sudden burst of funding that kickstarters often get in the last few days.

It seems a bit too late, really. It would have been much better if that was done near the start. It's good that the pledged amount has gone up more than normal since that was released, though.
The bottom line seems to be that it's not that big of a deal, otherwise I'm sure it would have gotten out by now.
24% and ten days to go, it will be a miracle if this is funded.
Also if the kickstarter fails GMtower is still being shutdown.
That's shit
So what would happen with Tower Unite if the goal isn't reached? Will it get cancelled all together or just have less content in it to lower the budget?

Can't you just put the project back up again?
I'm not that knowledgeable about Kickstarter, but I'm sure they can just refresh the count and ask folks to put the money back in again plus newcomers.
But yeah I'm gonna reserve my $20 until next Wednesday, if it looks solid then I'll put in, otherwise I'd just be wasting $20.
Sorry GMT Team.

You won't be wasting money, you get it back if the project isn't funded. It's only when it's successful they actually get any money.
So is there a thread in the games discussion forum for this yet? Can't find it.

Don't think so.
I'm not totally sure that it really warrants a thread, anyway. At least, not at this point.
Don't think so.

Anyway this might be a bit far fetched but remember how garry hired some guy that dreamed of making a game but didn't have the time to do that? If the kickstarter does fail maybe garry could do the same thing with the tower unite team, I really think this game has big potential and considering there's a demo coming very soon it could even be possible.
I'm being pretty optimistic here but I'd be really sad to see this game die, I haven't been this hyped over a game for YEARS.
Just as an update, the team hasn't given up on the thought of alternatives to KickStarter.
They are looking into both Patreon and IndeGoGo.
They are also looking for input. Follow this thread for the survey.
Filled it out, hoping for the best now.
Hey everyone,
We’re down to the final minutes of the Kickstarter campaign-- it’s looking like we’re not going to reach our original funding goal. Because the project is not going to be successfully funded, your pledge will be voided and no money will be exchanged.
Thank you all SO MUCH for helping us so far.
Without your support, we couldn't have even dreamed of getting this far. We’re more than happy with the amount of traction and support we've gained from the Kickstarter.
We truly believe in Tower Unite and we will do everything to see its creation. That's why we're currently looking into alternative options to help make the project a reality.
WE'RE GOING TO BE DEVELOPING A NEW CROWD-FUNDING CAMPAIGN
Taking what we've learned from our first crowd-funding campaign, we'll be spending the next couple weeks working on the next one. After that campaign we will be looking into Steam Early Access.
We are very excited about this project and we hope you will follow us in the future and help make Tower Unite a reality. This project can only happen with your help.
You’re probably asking a few questions right now:
What's happening to Tower Unite?
Tower Unite isn't going away, we will press on and do everything we can to make it happen. We will be adjusting the funding target for Tower Unite on our next campaign.
What's happening to GMod Tower?
We will still be running GMod Tower until Tower Unite is released. We will be re-enabling VIP donations during the time we're working on the new campaign. We heard your voice and based on your feedback we've decided that we’re going to create a system to help transfer your GMTower progress to Tower Unite. We will detail that in our next campaign.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP US RIGHT NOW
Since YOU are the most important part of our campaign, we want to hear what you’re thinking right now. We've set up a survey so we can collect your thoughts and use it as a reference for future decisions.
Please take a moment to fill out our survey at this link: http://goo.gl/forms/J3bdXYAywI
Even the tiniest of comments can help us get an idea.
If you have any more questions, feel free to message us on Kickstarter or tweet @pixeltailgames.
Additionally, we’ve set up a mailing list that will send out occasional emails about the future of the project; it’s a great way to keep caught up with the future of our projects. You can subscribe to the mailing list here: http://www.pixeltailgames.com/newsletter
WHEN WILL THIS ALL HAPPEN?
We can't give exact dates yet, but we will make an announcement soon. Be sure to follow our Twitter, sign up to our mailing list, join our forums, and like us on Facebook.
Here’s some other ways you can keep in touch with us:

rip kickstarter

Thanks so much guys. $37,000 is still absolutely insane. We'll keep you posted.
i wasn't too crazy about the game or the ideas. it's not something i would put money into, but i can't stand seeing game developers put their hearts and souls into something and fail
i'm a small time dude with a smaller and purely spare time team, so when i see pt not meet their goals, it upsets me as if it were myself failing
that being said, i don't think this is a big failure for pixeltail and i think its pretty clear they'll be successful after reevaluating what they can accomplish
i hope you guys do well in the future
Thanks so much guys. $37,000 is still absolutely insane. We'll keep you posted.
Could you guys make a thread in General Games Discussion about the project? Would be better than using this thread.
