The Doctor is going to keep using guns now?
Good.
I guess you could say good if you hated originality.
Why is everyone commenting on how bad the new guy is with the basis he looks like a twat/goth/emo. Can't we give him a chance?
David Tennant was to me, the best Doctor yet, he hit that age gap between the younger and older generation. Brought a bit of vitality to the Doctor, not some old man that just about looks like he's ready for the grave, but not a spotty teenage twat like the NEW Doctor (from the few spots I've seen him).
Also the new teaser on the site, is it just me or does he looks shocked in every scene!? Got a :O face on.
He also looks like a younger Gordon Ramsey, god damnit.
Ok now BBC try to go a series without bringing back the same creatures over and over pleeease
Well Steven Moffat will be the primary writer now, won't he? And all his episodes have been incredibly awesome and creative. It's just RTD who keeps bringing back the same enemies/characters over and over again.
Someone seems to be uploading the new teaser to youtube.

It doesn't work yet though.
I was disappointed. If they leave it now, Doctor Who can be remembered as a good show.
If they continue along these new lines of more action and special effects it will just ruin it. The master with super powers was bad enough, but redeemed but the fact we got a glimpse of Gallifrey.
At least thats what i think.

I love the classic villains like the Daleks, The Cybermen. The statues from Blink are one of the few new villains that I actually like; the simply way they create such fear is fantastic in my opinion. So yes I want to see them make a return!
It wouldn't be Doctor Who without Daleks etc.
Daleks returning? Insert shock.

But this dalek has a funny eye and is white

And behind this dark grey dalek is... dalek parts?

Imperial Daleks and Renegade Daleks coming back?! Hmm... still meh though.

I'm not bothered that they bring them back, I like to see them come back every so often, but it's EVERY BLOODY SERIES, they just bring back the same old enemies that we've seen soooo many times.
An underwhelming episode, but, I somehow get the feeling that this is not the last time that we have seen the time lords. Furthermore, I do not know what to think of the new Doctor, aside from the fact he is a tad ugly and really does not fit into the normal formal attire that the Doctor usually wears.
I will give him a chance to weigh up against David Tennant.
I'm starting to think deciding to get into Doctor Who when it's on the last episode was a bad move... I have no fucking clue what just happened.
Box sets here I come!

I agree with that, they just need to find a balance between new and interesting enemies as well as occasionally bringing the old ones back.

And with really bad reasons for it quite often, too.
"Oh Davros escaped the Time War even though we previously said it was impossible"
Oh god, they are not going to use "Geronimo" as a catch phrase are they? I bloody hope not.
The only good parts of doctor who are the sad parts. For example part 2 only got good after the main event. In my opinion.

zeeeeeeee

Because he's not that good of an actor, and he doesn't suit the role of the Doctor.

That's what i was thinking, i don't think it fits well.
I turned the tv off after he said i don't want to go
IMO the doctor has died, end of
doctor is dead in my eyes

To be honest, people said the same about David Tennent when he first arrived, but for the first series at least he was pretty good.
EDIT
I take that back, from the what I saw in the teaser, he looks awful, but hey, maybe he'll suprise us all.

after seeing about 20seconds of him I already hate him he doesn't act like 'The Doctor' enough
"I don't want to go.." :(
I'm not going to bash the new Doctor until I've seen him properly.
Was way better than the first end of time episode. The new Doctor looks okay I 'spoze.

YouTube mirror for the Series 5 trailer. This one does work.
Can't believe he's gone. He was so amazing and it made me feel sad at many points during the episode
First impressions for me were bad but you never know really. Hardest thing is thinking of him as a new person. For example, the doctor was not always david teninch's (lol it's a joke not a typo) version. Although that doctor was just a good character and may not be able to be matched.
Well done BBC you've already ruined my 2010.
