Attack attack! have always had many things wrong with them
I dunno if their original guitarist was actually good or not but in both albums the riffs were fucking shocking oh man.
Did they like deliberately compose bad riffs that sounded messy and horrible

Once we invent time travel there will be a sudden influx of "pre" genres.
anything I've heard that's been considered "post" has usually just been a sort of calmer, cleaner version of a heavy genre, like post punk and post hardcore
so if you were to do post-melodeath it'd probably sound like powermetal i guess lol
