I read Of Mice And Men for English It wasn't as amazing as it was made out to be imo

To Kill a Mockingbird was the best book I read in English, followed closely by Macbeth, simply because Macbeth was fell off his rocking chair like straight away in the book.

Never read any V:v:V I read The Great Gatsby for English this year. It was a really good book tbh.

I thought it was one of the few books I've read where you actually can analyse it lots and it actually works, I think Fitzgerald definitely thought further than just the story itself in the writing of the book.

Gatsby was viewed romantically by the author but he was really an idiot, he was too caught up in image, and he was revered at the end for being a man of heart. He was a silly cunt who done whatever he had to in order to chase a dream he stood no chance at reaching. Macbeth on the other hand, had a bitching redeaming factor.
