I wish there was post metal, like there is for post rock. I've found similar bands, like maybe Russian Circles but it's not the kind of stuff I'm looking for.

Does anyone have another suggestion for a heavier, more metal orientated post rock sound? Animals As Leaders don't count either.

Intronaut? Their Valley of Smoke album is postmetal according to wikipedia. It's mostly instrumental. I don't think it's very metal, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. I haven't listened to any of their other albums, either.
