That being said, let's try some death/thrash. I see Vedicardi is watching this thread, so I know he is going to respond to say something witty about my "shitty melodeath," and possibly mention how it doesn't deserve to be considered metal. He may possibly argue my disregarding Mayhem, and then there is a chance that he'll post some bland modern thrash like Toxic Holocaust and other bands with similar cover art style which I find to be so mediocre and unmemorable I completely forgot their name and say that this is what metal should be and is the best kind of metal out there. Let's not forget him possibly making allusions to melodeath being more or less equivalent to metalcore, either.

Not to sound bitter about Vedicardi, but it seems to be a pretty regular occurrence for him, especially whenever I post something.
Oh and let's not forget him making a post in response to this particular post, either. That's just a given. I'm sure it's going to be something passive-aggressive, like pretty much every other post he makes. I don't like you, Vedicardi. Everything about you rubs me the wrong way. Your blatant musical elitism irks me, both with music in general ("techno is less music") and within metal itself ("shitty melodeath," your obstinate attitude that anything that ends in -core is automatically, inherently, and irreversibly shit, and your obvious worship of thrash that sounds like it was produced in a basement in the 80s). I never claim to be right about anything I said and I never say anyone is right or wrong, I just post my opinion, which may or may not be "kind." There is no right or wrong opinion, but I can certainly say you're a complete moron for not seeing that without having to clarify it because that's my opinion.

So I'm going to go meet Symphony X on Friday
And since the other 2 sharing headliners - Nevermore and Soilwork - pulled out (for reasons I do not know), Symphony X is now playing a longer set rather than starting the shows later/ending earlier.
SO, I might get to bear witness to the majesty that is The Odyssey, The Divine Wings of Tragedy, Revelation (Divus Pennae Ex Tragodiea), A Winter's Dream, Church of the Machine, Through The Looking Glass, Egypt, the Rediscovery suite... Oh fuckit I think you get the point I get more Symphony X and I am hoping for some of the longer, more epic tracks thanks to it.
Well, you'll still be missing out on Nevermore.
But if you do get all of those, then that's awesome as well.
