Terrible, terrible band
They are good
People hate them for no real reason. They don't have any lyrical talent and aren't that great at creating unique tones and use the same tempo a lot, causing a lot of their songs to sound similar but at their core (up until their most recently album which is pretty much shit) they are pretty talentedd

the fact they aren't generic and really brought melodic power metal and early symphonic power metal together so brilliantly is why you know who they are. they did do something new. Perhaps they did not deviate from that formula, but their second and third albums are unique without a doubt
if you say dragonforce sounds like shit because they sing about dragons and shit and have "cheesy" choruses musically, then you are saying all of power metal sounds like shit
I heard of em from guitar hero, if any other way then from a friend.
And no I hate them cause every song sounds the same in my opinion.

Eh, Dragonforce's albums aren't that bad. It's all pretty similar stuff though. You could switch choruses and some of their tracks and the differences would be negligible. Still a somewhat enjoyable band I guess.
They're awful live though.
I remember seeing a video where there were parts of many Dragonforce songs and they sounded the EXACT same.
Otherwise I kind of like them though.
