Valley of the Damned is the tits. Everything after that followed the same formula and didn't really interest me.

Also (through chance, accidents and cheap tickets) I've seen them 4 times. They're pretty damn solid live, the bad rep came from shitty monitors on the Inhuman Rampage tour when they started to get big

I can't think of a single band that has the same style other than vocally. Dragonforce pumps out riffs like no other power metal band, the only one coming close probably being Burning in Hell and maybe one or two rare others

"Too Extreme!" was probably the best-sounding one there, and that was pretty much straight up industrial metal.

one or two tracks on there are kinda interesting industrial ripoff things but even on those the vocals are terrible
the other tracks are just really slow power metal progressions or something with even worse vocals and boring drumming etc etc
of all the bands to try to "stay modern" by doing nothing original...
It's not something you expect from such a group
