I think Chuck was a fucking awesome guitarist and had fantastic riffs but I was never too big on Death. Good band but not great. Fuck tonnes of respect though.

old cc was crap with chris except from hammer smashed face which has the grooviest death metal riff ever and corpsegrinder's stuff is good but they are a horribly overrated band

not a big fan of straight on death metal really

I've never enjoyed Cannibal Corpse.

I always go for the death metal bands with more groove than technical ability as well. That's why Decapitated is my favourite death metal band. Organic Hallucinosis has some of the grooviest riffs and drum patterns I've heard.

Yeah I think they're an overrated band, as I said. I too like the groovier stuff, which is why Hammer smashed face is my favourite song despite it being done by Chris who is actually one of the worst death metal vocalists ever
