I never knew. I love the quality in his videos.
His nile and behemoth drum covers are beyond fucking amazing.

Anaal Nathrakh's later albums have some of the best fucking choruses ever. Incredibly badass. Brutal and heavy as fuck, but very melodic.
Are Anaal Nathrakh black metal by chance?
My interpretation of this song is as follows:
LOL BLASTBEATS
BLAAAH RAAAAAH RAHHHH
LOL BLASTBEATS
If they're black metal, then I entirely understand. It doesn't change my opinion of it at all. :v:
Understand it really means something when I don't get anything more out of a song than that. I mean look at the avatar. :v:
As an aside, whenever I glance Anaal's Nathrahk's name, I always drop one of the double A's. :saddowns:
anal nathrakh
It means Serpent's Breath in whatever probably made up language Merlin used in his spells in the story Excalibur.
And they're industrial black metal. I think they are most excellent

Uge is fucking amazing
I hope he'll make some great bands when he gets older.
Isn't he only like 16 or something? Because it's fucking good, especially for someone that old.

yes, he's 16.
although at 15 he could already play nile on the drums so...
Goddamn! :buddy: That is fucking pro

THIS IS AWESOME
Both members of Anaal Nathrakh are in it but doing only vocals and guitar.
it
is
awesome
seriously groovy
Well can anyone help me out? I'm looking for some Melodic Death Metal, but that sounds more unique than the majority of the mello-death/metalcore that you hear around the place. Anything similar to Opeth or Katatonia would be fantastic. Although I also like me some Bloodbath.
Fractal Gates.
Also, I really have to check out more anal nathrahk, between piss and shit we are born is amazing.
They're gonna be in The Classic Grand in Glasgow in May. Hoping to go if it's not over 18s since apparently their last uk tour was. not that you'll have a problem with that though :v:
Also the sweep picking in the background in the chorus of Between Shit & Piss we are born is awesome, I love how alongside their brutality they can keep it very melodic
[editline]31st December 2010[/editline]
ninja'd by a pretty excellent instrumental piece of thrash
Fuck, Anaal Nathrahk at the classic grand, fucking sweet, good thing I got that job yesterday to pay for Anaal Nathrahk and Townsend.
I still gotta get my Townsend ticket too :v:
What's the classic grand like? Sounds like you've been there
Not been to the classic grand but no matter what, it'll always beat the cathouse.
lol true, that place is fucking dead
[editline]31st December 2010[/editline]
Periphery are playing in the cathouse though. Hopefully they can get a good atmosphere going.
When are periphery hitting the cathouse? and tesseract are going with em ain't they?
Aye, and Monuments. Should be awesome but shame they couldn't get a better venue. It's Feb 4.
[editline]31st December 2010[/editline]
just realised I've never listened to Monuments

Pretty good but the mixing sounds pretty messy
sounds like a drum machine :colbert:
a pretty bad one too tbh
Anaal Nathrakh have always used drum machines and it sounds like real drums, maybe the programmer just sucks or they used a bad program or something
Yeah drum machine doesn't necessarily mean it's bad
Hell Alestorm uses one
IMO the drums suit their sound. The guitar and vocals are incredibly mechanical sounding, the drum sound just adds to that
Not to mention, drum machines can sound very good, if done well.
For example, I never even knew Hypnosis used a drum machine, until I took a look at their members list and saw they had no drummer. Then I watched a music video of theirs, and again, no drummer.

I actually think this is a lot better than the original. Chuck can pull falsetto better than Halford it seems. Bloody fantastic cover.
WOW NO HE CAN'T
wow seriously
I prefer his voice to Rob's honestly :v:
by no means can he do falsetto better though I mean that is the most insane statement I have ever heard

ok yeah you're right :v:
i simply prefer Death's cover of Painkiller to the original lol (Original is fuckin' awesome though)
[editline]31st December 2010[/editline]
Also speaking of Priest, I am sad that their next tour is their last ever and they're not coming to the UK :Dawkins102:
Death's version is pretty cool but it doesn't touch the original for me. Tipton is just too good at soloing.
just go see Halford's solo tours they might as well be the same thing.
And they're not done announcing all the dates.
My stepdad would very likely be interested in seeing them live so maybe I could go with him and see them in England
Shit I must post content for the end of the year.
