Well Oni is a japanese devil/demon so that was the basic idea
You probably shouldn't use the devil head thing twice in the logo
Take it out of the i
otherwise it looks great

revised versions which one should I use?
I think the first one looks better, but I agree with myname. Take out the devil-horns on the "i". Maybe replace it with something else, but as it is, it's overusing the devil-horns.
Overall, it's excellent, easy to read, easy to remember and not overdone.
Too many band logos (specifically in metal) are stupidly hard to read or decipher.
I made a black metal logo for a local stoner rock (I think lol) band, because I was bored.

What do you think? :v:
Lol I thought it said: "Vicious Delicious"
That was very silly

Mostly because of the video and the clothes and the singing.
Pretty much. I'm getting very tired of this vocal type getting admired too.
If you're shooting for good vocals, this is it. I'm not even a big fan of the band but their vocalist has tons of range and can accent his screams in a lot of different ways across all the albums. It's a type of forced yell method, but mixed in with way more projection/diaphragm force to cause the throat to vibrate without the use of your primary vocal chords. The end result is the throat distorting everything that passes through. This of coarse means you lose your breath really fast. I do this but can only sustain a strong tone for 3 seconds. This guy can sustain for more than 4 fucking seconds at one part, around 1:28.

This is good vocals to be honest. Nothing compares to this.

I didn't care too much for the first song. As a whole it was interesting. Judging the vocalist alone, it was the same mono-tone/accenting I was talking about. By accenting, I mean they suck at pronouncing words, you can tell that their mouths are constantly in a tight formation; all the vowels have overtones of R and L sounds, while consonants receive almost no emphasis. There were some clean vocal type breaks, but judging each by themselves leaves me to that conclusion. I've heard Insomnium already. They are quite good, but I feel bad for those without a keen ear. The instruments are overpowering the vocalist. You can still catch lyrics, but it takes somewhat of an effort.
That's the point of those vocals. They don't stand out. Those bands place emphasis on the instrumental work. The vocals themselves become part of the music and blend in.
That's why I like them.
Whatever flies your kite.
If we're talking about vocalists' abilities to have degrees of inflection in their vocals, then I am still of the opinion that Burden of Grief's Mike Huhmann is one of the best I've ever heard in this regard.

They may not be the deepest harshes, but I definitely feel they're one of the most versile I've ever heard, without changing styles.
actually i believe this is one the the best vocalists in metal. as you can hear his vocals are far more versatile than anything i've ever heard before and he's got incredible range. but the best part is the way the vocals blend in with the instrumentals and don't stand out, thus making their songs a lot more enjoyable and different from other metal nowadays.

As you can probably tell by now, I really don't give a shit about how the vocals sound :colbert:
I don't know what the technical term is but i'm really digging these factory/industry sounds Bruce Dickinson has in some of his solo songs, like the intro to this.

current idea for my band logo
I think you should make the dot above the i look like it's on fire, so the i looks like a burning match.
Works well with the devil thing. :3:

Another revised version, i'll try the match head version later
I have just discovered black metal from Africa.
It surprised me, I found it kind of funny but cool.
From what I heard, it wasn't too bad. :v:
The band is called Rhanawa, and it only has about 100 listeners on last.fm, so it's not very big.
IDK if there are any bigger black metal bands in Africa, couldn't find any.
Just look at this album art:

Guys really now. Really think about this shit man. Eistnaflug is a GREAT metal festival and really, anyone who is interested in metal should come. I can provide maybe one or two slots of accommodation for the time, but it's also possible to set up a tent.
Napalm Death played last year if you'd like to know and possibly will again this year. The Monolith Deathcult and Secrets of the Moon will also play this year.
I've been thinking about what genre is the Baroness's Red & Blue albums, their earlier stuff is definitely sludge but I have no idea what the most recent albums are.
