You should bring a camera and record the trip with Dopey and post it on YouTube and facepunch. Like those video trips with Tea and others as they went to random places.
:buddy:
[editline]fish[/editline]
Be sure to record the concert, too. :ssh:

I'm pretty certain Mr. Mikey is a Scot, so it seems Scotland will be the place for you then. :v:
Bravehat, Dopey Trout and Mikey all live in scotland

I think
I doubt 4 guys from Birmingham knew about them though, so in a way it didn't really contribute to metal
well black sabbath wasn't the only metal band. scorpions, deep purple, rainbow, etc. a lot of bands, particularly power metal bands, cite them over sabbath. blues creation and some other sabbath-esque bands were around as well

Now I understand why some people say Baroness is kinda like Mastodon and ISIS combined.

Yea
Was a pretty great night if I do say so myself. Periphery were really really good. Tesseract were awesome and Monuments were v enjoyable, I liked the high screams, they sounded pretty crazy.
Gonna be honest I think the most memorable part was discussing with bravehat how to create a weapon to kill a bear, it was p amazing.
We ended up with a gun that shoots a gun that shoots a knife half way through the air that's filled with CO2 so it freezes their organs and it's all rocket propelled, and it has hydraulic recoil reduction or some shit
We're gonna invest in it in the future and become famous
oh yeah and we decided to attach it to an armored tent that is secretly a tank which is disguised as a building because there was a tent shop

That discussion really sounds interesting.
And did you meet any of the guys of the bands?
Was there any good merch?
Yeah bravehat's banter is great, he is quite strange but that's what makes conversations with him good :v:. I remember at the amorphis gig we were discussing having 4 legs and problems of shitting and it hitting your sack
There was good merch yeah. bravehat got a cool periphery shirt which I would have got would it suit me :P I was gonna get another one but it was sold out :saddowns: for medium at least, none of my size.
Dopey Trout had a conversation with one of peripherys guitarists who couldn't play because he didn't know the songs well enough :v: I think he was new or something?
And the guitarist who wasn't Bulb broke two of his fingers and still played a solo (although i think a crew member playing the actual stuff since he couldn't)
I met Nolly from Red Seas Fire and got to jam on his Daemoness guitars :h:
Bumped into the singer from Monuments and chatted for a bit with the guitarist from TesseracT after their set at the merch stand.
All glory to TesseracT. Though they didn't have any copies of their EP :saddowns:
Our epic bear murderer was indeed glorious.
As mikey was saying Jake from Periphery dislocated his finger so Nolly from RSF was gonna stand in, but only had a day to learn the songs so wasn't comfy with it. They ended up playing a set with two guitars (aside from Jake playing a sweep tapping solo with two fingers, how I have no idea.). Bulb and.... uhh, other guy still played.
Ah, it was tesseracts guitarist :v:
I hate asking questions myself but I have some:
Did they have any jackets for sale?
If yes how expensive were they and if no how expensive were dem T-Shirts?
shirts are £15, they were selling a periphery hoodie but idk how much it was. Probably £25 or £30.
They had hoodies? £25 for those, £15 for tees. Little steep so I didn't bother. Would have got CDs but I'm not too keen on Periphery on record and TesseracT and Monuments didn't have any :saddowns:
:ninja:
Ah, it was tesseracts guitarist :v:
Red Seas Fire's guitarist :v:
Definitely getting a devin one in march though :frogc00l:
Dayum, gotta makes sure I have some cash on me so I can buy a T-Shirt + Hoodie.
I'm always a fan of band merch.
Ya man. I only have an eluveitie shirt andthats it
Bought an Amorphis one but they gave me a fat mans shirt instead of medium :argh:
Gonna get a devin hoodie I think. Maybe a shirt too.
And did Periphery play ''Jetpacks Was Yes!''?
Just curious because that's my favorite song.

Yes. Yes they did. It was awesome.
Yes. Yes they did. It was awesome.
Gotta make a clip of it next saturday then :buddy:
Let's just hope I can get a good spot.
Dunno if you guys know about this site, but it's got every single obscure/rare/small band ever in it. Lots of good stuff there
