my next door neighbour's band heated up for The Black Dahlia murder once
He should be proud.
he's very proud
So he should be [editline]10th February 2011[/editline] And is that the Negura Bunget show dopey trout?
Blackfield on the 8th, Aliases with Chimp Spanner and Cyclamen on the 21st and Negura Bunget with Enslaved on the 22nd And You Will Know Us By the Trail of our Dead are playing on the 15th, as are a band called introducing playing through all of Endtroducing by DJ Shadow. Tough choices
Awesome! :buddy: [editline]10th February 2011[/editline] Are you just going to spend two weeks down there or coming back up and down? :P
Spending the two weeks since I can crash with my dad :buddy:
Ah right, cool
I booked the tickets about two weeks ago for a gig in April :v: You can't book more than 12 weeks in advance for trains. At least you can't online
There's a varying price system for train tickets by you guys? Wow... For us it's just $24.50 if you buy before (at all, doesn't matter when) and some absurd amount of money if you buy ON the train. Also I think tickets expire like 30 days after the date of purchase now...
For what's effectively a cross country journey it's like a plane ticket. Cost goes up closer to the time etc etc. For a train a town over it's a flat rate both on and off the train.

And New York (well...the city and Nassau county, which is just outside the city) is supposed to have some of the best public transit in the entire country.
It probably is, it's just that public transit in Europe is just so much more common and well developed.
I know but for a city that was designed around factories and industry you'd think that it wouldn't be so bad. Then again New York also has some of the highest taxes in the country, so it shouldn't be so surprising. Sadly, though, most of the biggest and best concerts require me to take the train (NOBODY wants to drive into Manhattan...ever).
I really want to see TBDM, but I really don't want to see Amon Amarth.
Why the hell not? Amon Amarth are fucking brilliant.
I was never really a fan either tbh But then again the whole viking thing didn't really sit well with me in the first place lol v:v:v
Amon Amarth are a good band but I'm not massive on them yeah. Definitely enjoyable. I'd see them live if they were a headline no matter the support. Oh man AWESOME Mikael Akerfeldt is a guest musician on Deconstruction and someone called Tommy. Probably Tommy Rogers, BTBAM's vocalist. [editline]11th February 2011[/editline] Also I would looove to see TBDM live. They look like they put on such a good show.
Also I would looove to see TBDM live. They look like they put on such a good show.
They do. :smug:
:argh:
Stop your complaining. I just want to see a band live. :smith:

Dat sound quality :q: I love the drums.
Why didn't this make it into the album Should have replaced Psychopathy Red. Despite being a single I tihnk it was the weakest track on the album (iirc; not listened to it in a couple months)
Stop your complaining. I just want to see a band live. :smith:
How have you not been able to do this?
How have you not been able to do this?
Nearly everything is 18+ here. It costs like $300 to go see a band in Brisbane, because that's the only damn place they go to in Queensland. And I have to fly there, stay at a hotel and then fly back, it's just not practical.

Also, I've never once had a problem with age requirements for a show. Mostly because by the time anything worth seeing came around I was already 18.

I wish I had awesome bands play near me. Only band I know of that was worth a damn that has ever played in Seattle is Scar Symmetry, and that was post-Christian, so I decided it wasn't worth the nightmare that is traveling in Seattle to see them. :saddowns:
Maybe I'm more fortunate than some In the last year I've seen 3 of my favourite bands, my favourite of all time as well
