Found a Paradise Lost CD in my dad's CD collection. It's awesome.

I'm trying to find a certain metal album that I saw a long time ago. I think the art work of it was gray, the name is usually said as an acronym, a lot of people put it amongst one of their favorite albums of all time, and if I remember correctly it was a deathcore band. I also think some people compared it with Gojira.
Got anything else to go on? What other bands does it sound like? And I can't see a deathcore band sounding like Gojira? :raise:
The album had some abstract art if I remember correctly. Mostly gray, but with some other colors here and there. That's all I remember D: [editline]15th October 2010[/editline] Found it: Between the Buried and Me (BTBAM) - Colors And they weren't Deathcore, they were Metalcore!
Progressive metalcore! :eng101: Only BTBAM songs I really like are "Swim to the Moon" and "Ants of the Sky." Mostly because those songs are really long and fun to play on Frets on Fire. :v:
i dont get why metal gets the most airplay in this forum. i guess its just cause im not big on metal that i dont see the appeal?
Or is it perhaps because Facepunch users are outcasts and outcasts usually like metal? Just messing with you guys, I have no idea why the metal concentration is high here.
i dont get why metal gets the most airplay in this forum. i guess its just cause im not big on metal that i dont see the appeal?
That'd be a safe assumption to make. That'd be kind of like going to an electronic-music forum and not understanding all the airplay when you don't really like electronic music. For one reason or anything, a good chunk of Facepunch (or at least their verbal community) are fans of metal.
Progressive Metaldeath
BTBAM cover so much They incorporate like, blues, jazz, bluegrass, death metal, deathcore, metalcore and progressive metal all in one Also Colour is basically one song just split up into sections. You HAVE to listen to it start to finish. You don't even notice the transition between songs really.
Oh god I feel so nostalgic right now. listening to some finnish death metal which i used to listen when i was like 15year old. i know, i was young but this shit is INCREDIBLE! Oh man! Also, to my amazement I found it on Spotify! the band is called Moonsorrow Edit If anyone wants to listen out of curiosity, I can suggest few good/favorite songs. its kinda melodic too, i guess
This moonsorrow? They've actually gone quite big, folk metal's popularity has been on a definite rise.
Yes that's the one, but the 'Sankarihauta' song im listening to on Spotify doesn't have that peaceful-melodic bullshit in start, thank god. And they've gone more folk, really? I haven't been following em for like.. 5 years? I like few of their old songs, the ones that are similiar. The albums 'Verisäkeet' and 'Voimasta ja Kunniasta' floats my boat. I've seen em live once, too [editline]16th October 2010[/editline] Oh and, these days I listen to just mostly chill music, rap, finnish rap, and the likes. But I still can't deny the fact that Moonsorrow stimulates my body, makes my head pop.

Power metal > your metal because your metal isn't steel enough. [editline]16th October 2010[/editline] unless your metal happens to be power metal

i sort of grew out of power metal really
So if Metal is heavier than Rock, what's the next step? We must pioneer it.
