well I'm usually "serious" and try to make good points.

I didn't attack melodeath itself or anything at all. If I wanted to do that, I could, but that's not what I was doing. It's really not a big deal.

It was a joke meaning to imply somehow the discussion of melodeath in this thread was upsetting or making me sad. That's ridiculous.

Now if you guys were talking about post-hardcore, on the other hand, this would be a whole different discussion haha

yeah, but it's always over ridiculous shit like what weird phaser effects constitute something being "dubstep" or "regular dub" and that kind of garbage.

Well I guess it's really the same arguments at their core but whatever. Every genre in that scene is still active while a large portion of metal genres are dead, so their arguments are a lot more heated, and nerdy for that matter.
